Budget laptop recommendations around $500?

Hello,
I am looking for a laptop for my wife. It will be used for typical home tasks: Meta, Office, and general web browsing—perhaps streaming an occasional movie. I have been browsing the forums lately, and it seems to me that this specific model might be pushing its limits a bit too much.

It is slightly above my budget, but if it truly is that exceptional for its price point, perhaps it might be worth stretching a little further.🙂

Look, if you aren't planning on gaming, then whatever. I'm pretty skeptical about whether this actually has an IPS screen, though. If it does, then honestly, stop looking.

If you're trying to stick to a tighter budget, this one is fine.

That Apple model is obviously more powerful, though.

Great, thanks so much👍, I'll try to stretch the budget if I can🙂
