Hello.
My laptop finally arrived back from the repair shop after they swapped out the hard drive, but now I’m hitting a wall trying to install Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.
...the select disk is of the GPT partition style...
While browsing online, I stumbled upon some instructions on how to convert GPT to MBR using diskpart, but that isn't really an option for me since it would require wiping the partition where my backups are stored....
????????

Hey ironcyclist58, you trying to install Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit or the 32-bit version?
The 64-bit should handle GPT since it works with BIOS... but the 32-bit won't support it.

ironcyclist58 said:Koke, which version of Windows 7 are you trying to install—the 32-bit or the 64-bit one?
The 64-bit version should support GPT (with BIOS booting), whereas the 32-bit version won't.

It’s Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit....
