Why was my post deleted in the Psychology PDF sub?

I know they locked it because some users were getting way too hyped up over the whole topic.

If I recall correctly, there was actually some solid stuff being said in there, though I can't quite remember what the actual posts were about.

What was the actual reason for deleting it? I get why you'd lock a thread, but straight-up deleting it is a different story.

I'll admit, I acted a bit too hastily there. It felt a little trivial—like the whole thread was just being used to pass the time. It stretched on for over ten pages, mostly filled with suggestions that didn't really fit your needs anyway. I can restore it, if you still find it useful...
