Anyone got any intel on these two drives? I think it’s finally time to retire my old pair and grab another 1 TB.

The Seagate BarraCuda is about $50 at Best Buy, while the Western Digital Caviar is $183 a little more.

I’ve used both Hitachi and Toshiba before, so I honestly can't tell which one is better. 😁 It's a tough call.

Help me out here.

Thanks!

I’d honestly rather pay $233 for a 3TB click and just fix my storage issues once and for all, instead of constantly juggling a bunch of small drives. It makes zero sense to drop $183 on some random 1TB drive that isn't even high quality.

A buddy of mine has a 4 TB drive that’s running insanely hot. I'm actually leaning toward just grabbing two 1 TB drives instead—I'd much rather have a solid backup plan in place than deal with that heat.

Just wanted to let you know I decided to go with the Seagate BarraCuda. Those Western Digital Caviar drives are 2.5", and honestly, I'm just not feeling it. Quick little question though: is there actually any difference between these two? Or am I just looking at two versions of the exact same drive? The models are: Seagate BarraCuda HDWD110EZSTA (P300), and ID: to-hdwd110uzsva. Thanks!

It looks like one is a Retail unit, while the other is bulk

Regarding the packaging. Retail versions should come in a proper box or something similar, whereas bulk drives will be bare or just tossed in a bag.

A to.. then we're good. 🙂 I can breathe easy now. 😁 Now my only real headache is deciding whether to grab them from a local shop or order through Future. 😁

Since I'm already here, let me pick your brains. Which of these retailers has the best warranty game? I'm looking to pick up some in-ear headphones.

Here’s what I'm looking at.

I'm skipping Links, though—I've had some pretty bad luck with their stuff in the past.
