So, like the title says, I'm looking for some advice on a laptop for an association to use—nothing fancy like gaming or anything, just basic stuff like Word, browsing, media, etc.

I'd love some suggestions for both Windows machines and non-Windows options. Thanks in advance. 🙂

I’d love to believe that price is actually legit, but given how much other retailers are charging, I highly doubt it.

Either way, this one is fine.

Between those two, I’d go with the Dell. That Inspiron 100 isn't exactly known for its build quality, plus it lacks the optical drive the Dell has—which you'll probably end up needing anyway.

Honestly, I wouldn't even look at laptops without Windows. Since this is for an organization, we can't risk any legal headaches with unlicensed software.

It might actually be doable. I noticed they have "rethink" models available—basically their refurbished laptop line. They tend to run older graphics and come pre-installed with Windows 7 or 8, plus they carry a 12-month warranty.

Those machines are decent enough since they're factory-refurbished, but it doesn't look like that's explicitly mentioned on this specific listing...
