Greetings, everyone. If there is already an existing thread regarding this topic, please feel free to move my post there. I am currently facing a very urgent issue involving my network adapter. I am using a Windows 7 compatible TP-Link USB adapter; I have installed the drivers on Windows 7 and everything appears to function perfectly at first, but after extended periods of use, the green indicator light will simply shut off on its own. Once this happens, I lose all access to my network settings and cannot change anything. To make matters worse, I cannot even perform a standard shutdown or restart of the computer; I am forced to use the physical power button on the chassis to hard reset the machine because the system becomes completely unresponsive. I suspect this might be a driver-related issue, though I cannot say for certain. My reasoning is based on the fact that I have encountered a Blue Screen of Death at least ten times now, specifically citing a driver error related to the network card. It looked something like this: https://www.flickr.com/photos/135737...etaken-public/ If anyone happens to know how to resolve this, I would truly appreciate your guidance below. Thank you much.

Look, I get 😬

Just Google whatever key info > spits out. Dig through a few articles until you stumble onto a fix that actually works. Good luck 😉

I intend to review those articles thoroughly, and should any part of them prove unclear or confusing to me, I will certainly reach out here to ask for your guidance.

Well, here we go. I went ahead and reinstalled all my drivers from scratch, and everything seemed to be running perfectly fine. However, I managed to make a bit of a blunder—I logged into my router settings and changed the SSID, though I left the password exactly as it was. Now, whenever I try to connect any device via Wi-Fi—specifically my PC using the wireless adapter—it just displays "No Internet Access." To make matters worse, when I attempt to connect with my phone, it tells me the connection failed because the network isn't responding. Does anyone have any advice on how I can get my Wi-Fi back up and running?

Go ahead and jump back into your router settings and set up whatever SSID and password you want. Once you’ve got that sorted, head over to the modem configuration page and look for the reboot option—I think that’s what they call it—and give it a click. Just make sure you sit tight and wait until the progress bar hits 100% before you try anything else. After that, go ahead and reset the modem and see if you can get back online. Since you mentioned you're having trouble connecting to the network right now, your best bet is to plug the modem directly into your computer using an Ethernet cable so you can actually access those settings. If none of that works, there should be a physical reset button on the modem itself that will wipe everything and revert it back to the factory defaults.

Man, I really appreciate it. I wasn't even able to get a hold of Lana earlier because I was out hunting for a Wi-Fi signal at various coffee shops. It turns out the fix was incredibly simple: I just unplugged the router from the wall, waited a moment, and plugged it back in, and now everything is running perfectly fine again.
