Distinguishing genuine science from pure pseudoscience isn't actually the Herculean task people make it out to be. At least, it isn't for actual scientists—nor for those laypeople who remain genuinely open to new insights, provided those ideas are anchored in sound, logical cognitive processes... If things worked the way you’re suggesting, the entire scientific establishment would essentially be trapped in a closed loop of intellectual isolation, spinning its wheels in a vacuum of its own making...
Larry Sanchez30 said:There is a staggering amount of research out there that lacks even a shred of foundational theory—it’s just data points floating in a vacuum. To make matters worse, so many scientific papers are being rubber-stamped by incompetent reviewers who clearly haven't done the work... and then you have the sheer volume of results that are practically impossible to replicate or verify in any meaningful way. It makes you wonder how much of what we call "science" is actually built on sand...
Who exactly has the standing—the actual credibility and relevance—to claim that certain peer reviewers lack expertise in their field? In my view, it can only be someone who has demonstrably mastered that specific branch of science... someone with the credentials to back up such a critique. That’s precisely why we maintain such strict distinctions between different types of papers and research outputs—whether they are primary scientific studies, technical reports, or literature reviews... there is a hierarchy for a reason. I find myself wondering, though—where would you actually categorize the theories proposed by Rocky? Into which specific group of scientific research or theoretical frameworks do you place them?...
Can you actually explain the theory behind pouring billions upon billions of dollars into the LHC project? All that capital, just to hunt for something so infinitesimal that the human mind can't even begin to grasp its scale... And then there's the sheer magnitude of the machinery itself—an apparatus so massive it defies comprehension. I suppose that’s just science in its purest, most absurd form...
Larry Sanchez30 said:Those links and headlines aren't meant to be gospel—they just serve as a reminder that there are alternative perspectives out there, views that rarely align with what they call "mainstream science." It’s all quite transparent, really... most of what people claim to know isn't actually knowledge at all; it's just the mindless recitation of someone else's ideas.
From what I can gather, nobody has an issue with you personally, nor with Noah Diaz—or even Rocky... It’s a fair point that this PDF carries a scientific label right there in the title. We aren't talking about some fringe manifesto or something completely detached from reality. Many of the questions raised by this document actually have logical, truthful, and thoroughly vetted explanations behind them. So, speaking strictly for myself, I view my contributions to this discussion as a way to assist those asking questions for which no easy answers exist. That is the entire purpose of a forum, after all—it shouldn't be a monologue. Citing established, verified sources isn't a sin, just as citing other authors isn't a sin... But, of course, one must always scrutinize the credibility of those sources—their relevance, their reliability, their accuracy, and whether they can actually be proven. There is a whole litany of due diligence that anyone truly dedicated to science must perform if they intend to maintain any semblance of intellectual dignity or professional respect...
