What's going on with Reddit? What's the deal?

It’s been a long time—way too long, actually—since I really started hanging out on Reddit again, and honestly, ever since my dad passed away back in 2010, I’ve been drifting in and out... but looking at things now, I can’t help but feel like something is just... off.
I see it every single day; the number of active users hasn't budged since 2006, which is basically when I first signed up. It’s like we're stuck in amber or something.

So, I wanted to ask—what do you guys think needs to change? What would it take to fix this, to shake things up, and maybe bring back that legendary status Reddit used to have back in its prime?

Please, throw out your suggestions or even some critiques—and hey, don't worry, I don't always take criticism as a personal attack, I promise.

I’ve been feeling a bit let down lately by how things are run here; it feels like there's a real lack of direction, and honestly, the owners seem either too busy or just unwilling to modernize the site, which leads to this frustrating sense of censorship and the stifling of different perspectives

The steps needed to fix this are pretty obvious to anyone paying attention, but it just seems like there’s zero motivation to actually make those changes happen

And looking at TV, it seems like there are more PR lobbyists zealously praising the editorial policies of mainstream media than there are actual Redditors...
