Here’s the YouTube link with all the races

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPwMAI3YcOQ&feature=plcp first race

The remainder is on the F1Arab channel. Start from the bottom; the titles pop up when you hover over the thumbnails. It goes from bottom to top. He did IndyCar first, then Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Thruxton starts tomorrow.

Just caught those NASCAR qualifying sessions—pretty intense. Ekström grabbed pole for Chevrolet, Grin took second for Mercedes-Benz, and Verner rounded out the top three for BMW, among others.

Full results are right here http://www.dtm.com/en/Races/20120429...ualifying.html

Man, I’m torn... not sure if I should tune into MotoGP or stick with NASCAR tomorrow?

Tomorrow we've got the IndyCar @ Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Here’s the layout for the track:

image

Track: 2.6-mile, 11-turn temporary street circuit
Laps: 75 laps/195 miles
The green flag should drop around 5:00 PM, I believe.

The surface is broken up by chicane sections, those 90-degree turns... it really reminds me of Miami Beach. 🙏

It’s such a shame they don't run IndyCar there anymore.

This Sunday, we're heading to the biggest oval out there—Talladega Superspeedway. They actually use a restrictor plate just to keep the speeds under control since these cars are insanely fast...

Wait, how is the track record still from '87?

Were they running without restrictors back then?

What kind of speeds are we talking about without a restrictor versus with one?

How on earth are we calling this a 4-turn track when it’s clearly just 3? 😕

Yeah, they were running wide open—speeds were hitting around 218 miles/h.

They actually brought in restrictor plates because of this mess

Something pretty similar went down back in 2009 too...

The Talladega jinx

The high number of crashes over the years, along with other factors, have led to rumors of Talladega Superspeedway being cursed. Stories of the origin of the curse vary. Some folks claim a local Native American tribe used to hold horse races in the very valley where the track sits now—and apparently, a chief was killed after being thrown from his horse. Others say that the site of the superspeedway was once an Indian burial ground. Then there’s still another version... that after the local tribe was driven out by the Creek nation for their collaborating with the forces of Andrew Jackson, a shaman placed a curse on the whole valley.

Ever since the track was built, all those weird occurrences and tragic deaths have just kept the curse rumors alive. Take 1973—Bobby Isaac actually abandoned his car on lap 90 because he claimed he heard voices telling him to just pull over and get out. And earlier that same race, back on lap 14, young driver Larry Smith died in a seemingly minor wreck. Then in 1974, right before the Winston 500, drivers and crews alike found multiple cars sabotaged by cut brake lines and sand in the gas tank.

For some people, Bobby Allison's 1987 wreck was just more proof that the curse was real. And then in 1993, things took a heartbreaking turn when Bobby's son, Davey Allison, died in a helicopter crash in the infield of Talladega.
