So, here’s my predicament: I used Driver Booster today to grab the latest version of Flash Player 18, but I seem to have overshot my hardware capabilities. I’m working with an older laptop—an Intel Pentium M running at about 1300 MHz, dipping down to 598 MHz, with just 512 MB of RAM. Honestly, it’s proving to be far too weak to handle version 18. I’ve got Windows XP Service Pack 3 installed along with Chrome, but ever since the update, the whole machine has been sluggish and constantly freezing up on me all day. I’ve decided to uninstall this current version because I really just want to go back to Flash Player 10. The problem is, I can’t find a straightforward way to download and install it. I actually went to their official website and managed to download an older version 10 installer, but when I try to run it, the system blocks me, claiming it's outdated and insisting I download the newest version instead. Does anyone know how I can bypass this and get the older version running?

Turn that garbage off. Go into your settings and disable all Extensions; they’re more trouble than they're worth.
If you actually need Adobe Flash Player, hunt down version 11.2.202... It works perfectly if you set the browser to block updates.
Also, disable Hardware Acceleration. It can be incredibly glitchy. Try playing a video, right-click on it, select Adobe Flash Player, and find the "Hardware Acceleration" setting to turn it off—unless you're already having graphics issues, then just leave it.
Good luck.
