Virus or just a glitch?

Does anyone have any idea what this mess on my screen is all about?

I'm using a Razer Blade 15 with a touchscreen that I just picked up three months ago.

It started happening completely out of nowhere, so I figured I'd just wipe everything and perform a full factory reset to get back to that "brand new" feeling, right? After reinstalling everything from scratch, it actually worked perfectly for two days before this suddenly popped up again. The only way I can fix it is by either doing a hard restart or putting it to sleep and waking it back up, which seems to clear it temporarily. I initially thought maybe it was some kind of malware, but wouldn't a total system reset have wiped that away if it were the case?

It looks like these little circles appearing everywhere, and there's a mouse cursor inside every single one of them, but whenever I try to hit printscreen to capture it, they vanish before I can even grab them!

Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Can someone recommend a specific laptop model?

I'm guessing you're using the touchscreen—if you aren't, maybe just disable it and those circles should disappear.
If you actually need the touch functionality, when this happens, try gently tilting the screen at different angles or positions to see if that clears it up.

What you're seeing are phantom touches, where the screen thinks you're clicking when you aren't. It could be a hardware issue—like the connection cable or the digitizer—though software glitches happen occasionally, I guess.
I could probably just list a bunch of fixes you'd find yourself on Google anyway.
Honestly, if the laptop is still under warranty, the best bet is to let a service center figure out what's actually causing it.

Just wipe the smudges off the screen and you should be good to go. Though, honestly, there's a chance it might actually be a hardware issue.

It is simply impossible for those to be smudges (assuming you are referring to dirt on the screen), given that every single circle maintains an identical diameter and features the exact same shadow along the edges 🤣
