I was driving home from work when my car just died on me—total idiot machine. Anyway, I managed to track down two new bolts that actually fit the thread, so I’m going to tear this whole thing apart and get the LC95 back in there.

Actually, if the issue is just a stripped screw and not the actual metal housing of the cooler itself, then you should be fine just finding a replacement screw.

Found some random thermal pads, applied two, tightened everything down, temps sitting at 59°C, and my PC is dead silent now.
Does anyone need a new Zalman cooler?

Is anyone else looking to upgrade their Zalman cooler?

Hitting 59°C under load? That’s solid. If you really want to optimize, try an undervolt—it'll drop those temps even further since
AMD tends to overvoltage way too aggressively.
Regarding that second part—it's tough to move gear once you've talked it up that much. 😬
Check out the hardware marketplace on the forum, though you might have better luck trying a trade if you haven't owned it too long—provided you're willing to pick something else in that price range.

Took it in yesterday morning. Spent a solid hour cleaning out the old thermal paste, but the damn thing still managed to get stuck

Gregory Hayes87 said:The CPU maxes out at 65°C while the GPU is busy spinning its wheels at 3415MHz and hitting 60fps, but the second I minimize that window, the GPU clock speed plummets to somewhere between 800 and 1000MHz and my frame rate drops to a pathetic 15 or 20.

🤔 That’s actually a decent GPU performance profile; if mine behaved like that, I’d finally be happy with 😁
