Hello everyone!
I was hoping I might be able to lean on this community for some advice...
My family and I have been looking into using hawthorn tincture, as there’s quite a bit of talk about how it can help support heart muscle strength.
The part that has us feeling a bit hesitant, though, is the fact that these tinctures are typically prepared using a 70% alcohol base, and given certain cardiac concerns, consuming alcohol is something we really need to avoid at all costs.🤔
Yet, despite that concern, you see people all over the internet singing its praises, recommending these drops almost as if they were a miracle cure...
I suppose I’m just looking for a little clarity here... are we perhaps misunderstanding the composition? Is it truly a mixture of 70% liquid alcohol and nutrients, or are we misinterpreting how these things actually work...
Thank you.

I need some advice here.
We've decided to try hawthorn tincture, which is supposedly great for strengthening the heart muscle.
Our main concern is that these tinctures are usually made with 70% alcohol, and people dealing with heart issues shouldn't be consuming alcohol at all.🤔
Even so, you see people all over the internet raving about these extracts and recommending them highly.
Could someone clarify this for me? Is it actually a 70% mixture of alcohol and nutrients, or are we totally misunderstanding how this works?
Thanks.

The amount you're taking—just a few drops—isn't going to be a major issue. If you want to play it safe, just go to a health food store, grab the dried herb, and brew it as a tea instead.
In my own experience, it’s worked wonders as a supportive therapy for high blood pressure when I pair it with valerian.

Angela Wright,
I was wondering if you happened to use the tincture as part of your regimen too...
Did you find that it actually made a noticeable difference for you?
If you wouldn't mind sharing, I’d be quite interested to hear more about the specific therapy you were following and how you managed your dosages...
Many thanks!

I was sipping on this tea while recovering from a pregnancy complicated by HELLP syndrome—which meant dealing with everything from low platelets to high blood pressure. Since I was feeling pretty anxious through it all, I’d take a spoonful mixed with some valerian drops twice a day. On top of that, I was also staying on my prescribed blood pressure medication.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me where you picked up that specific tea?
Did you actually find it to be effective...

At a health food store in San Francisco. I wrote that this actually worked for me.
