Greetings.
I’ve been wrestling with piriformis syndrome in my right hip for a solid two years now. After spending two months on exercises that accomplished absolutely nothing, I decided to push the stretching even harder, only to have something snap in my left hip—a mistake that has left me in such agony that sitting down has become an impossible task. To make matters infinitely worse, a subsequent fall resulted in a spinal injury that kept me bedridden for a month; despite wearing a brace for another six months, the chronic pain simply refuses to budge.
To cut to the chase, after a few days of assessment, my doctor suggested a surgical release of the piriformis muscle.
I am curious if anyone here has managed to resolve this issue through other means, or if surgery truly stands as the only viable path forward.
