Yeah, it’s a decent enough flick... honestly, it would be total garbage if it weren't for the old maestro Mel. It's wild how many mediocre movies this guy has single-handedly elevated just by being in them, everything from Air America The Bird conspiracy theory or Weapon 4—stuff that probably would have ended up straight to video alongside Dudikoff or Hasselhoff without him. You don't see that kind of charisma once in a lifetime; studio execs are definitely going to be looking for someone like him again.🙂

It’s a fantastic movie.🙏🙏 That Mel really has this unique charisma,😍 and someone mentioned how much they dig that intense, silent stare of his.🤣 😁
A kid with a cigarette.🤣
That scene with the umbrella was totally cool.🙏 🙏
Oh, and the prison is excellent.🙏 Truly original. Someone wrote that places like that actually exist in South America.🤷

I finally caught this one this morning, too. Honestly, it feels like a genuine comeback for Mel Gibson.
It’s actually pretty engaging and fun from the opening frame all the way to the credits. Now, let’s be real—it’s just your standard flick, so don't go in expecting some life-changing masterpiece or anything, but within its own little bubble and given how action movies have been lately, it’s solid. I'd say it's easily one of the better ones we've seen pop up in the last two or three years.
The setting they chose is actually pretty cool, and the action sequences definitely hit the mark. That kid in the movie and that whole bit with the umbrella? Totally clever touches.
My rating: 5/10

Prison ghetto hierarchies... you rarely see them portrayed in such an entertaining way! Sure, there’s a predictable formula involving the relationship with the kid (who, by the way, absolutely nails their role given the circumstances of the story), but everything is put together so well that you just can't walk away disappointed...
