Why does this bother you so much? If we look at this objectively, there are really only two things at play here: first, the undeniable fact that you attempted to make a false accusation against another user back in your initial post, and second, your specific interpretation of his wording. It seems your grievance stems from something you personally took offense to—something he might have intended, or perhaps he didn't—but since none of us can actually read minds, how can we be sure? Is it not more significant that your entire complaint is rooted in that initial false accusation?

Do you see what I mean? Your entire protest is built upon a falsehood, which ultimately makes the whole argument fall apart.

The supermods and the rest of the mod team are going to take a look at the reported post. You’ve made your point loud and clear.

To resolve this situation, I have conducted consultations with the policy moderators and several other members of the administration team.
First, as my colleagues have already pointed out within this thread, a Gangbang is not rape; it is a group encounter and cannot be treated as a threat of sexual assault. Even if our colleague had utilized the term "gang-rape," we would have suspected he wasn't being literal, so there is no need to dwell on that distinction. However, I have absolutely no doubt that mentioning a Gangbang contained trolling elements intended to imply a sort of retaliation following the change in leadership. Consequently, sun-tzu72 will be sanctioned, and he will be asked to refrain from using such terms—or any contextually similar expressions—in the future.

There is one more thing that warrants mention. It is well known that there is a certain "history of conflict" between the two of you—a mutual friction where both sides play a part. This is clearly evident, among other things, in your signature. To be clear, since you are quoting him directly without distorting his words, it isn't strictly prohibited. Nonetheless, I have no doubt that your intention is to provoke him. Therefore, in the interest of "burying the hatchet" as a gesture of goodwill to ease these tensions, I would appeal—though not demand—that you remove your signature.

In any case, I am asking both of you to exercise particular caution when addressing one another. Furthermore, I have requested that the moderators keep a close watch on this; should further friction manifest through undesirable communication patterns, they are expected to discourage it through swift and decisive moderator intervention.

William Bennett53 said:That said, I don't doubt for a second that mentioning a gangbang was meant to troll, implying some sort of retribution once they take power.

'It had trolling elements,' you say? No kidding... 🤣

Are these last few posts actually real, or is there a hidden camera somewhere?

You’ve truly committed to dissecting the definition of a gangbang, explaining to some woman on the forum that she shouldn't get worked up because it's just an allusion to a—presumably consensual—group session rather than rape, which apparently makes it acceptable reading? 🤣 So, the logic is: 'When we take office, we won't gangrape you—we'll just gangbang you a little bit, and since it's on a voluntary basis, there's no problem and we can express ourselves this way'? 😁
Of course—I don't think the Republican Party is going to show up at my door over this—but do we really have to read this stuff?

And you're suggesting she remove her signature because it supposedly provokes someone who uttered that sentence verbatim (mind you, that sentence is also quite significant and threatening) and is likely very proud of it? You're provoking him with his own words? And you're presenting that as, what, a "by the way, you're the one at fault" argument?
Horrendous... 👎

bluelynx8 said:So you’re really out here trying to deconstruct the whole "gangbang" concept for some lady on the forum, telling her not to get worked up because it’s just an allusion to—I assume, based on your semantics—a voluntary group thing rather than actual rape, so apparently that makes it perfectly fine reading material? 🤣 Like, if someone says, "Once we take power, we aren't going to gangrape you—we're just gonna gangbang you instead," and since it's all consensual, there's no problem and we can just say whatever we want? 😁
Look, I don't actually think the Republican Party is going to show up at my door to do that job—but do we seriously have to deal with this kind of talk?

Nobody claimed that post was appropriate for a civilized discussion, but there is a massive difference between threatening someone with sexual assault and making references to group sex, and that distinction is pretty huge.

First off, thanks to bluelynx8 for the support and for actually getting what's going on here. 👍

Regarding the mods' decision, I think they got it wrong. It’s not "trolling" when someone straight up threatens to screw over their political rivals once they take power. Honestly, they were already saying this stuff before I even signed my name. 😉

As for my signature, it’s staying right where it is. And honestly, don't try to use it as "proof" that I deserve a ban just because I quoted him word-for-word.

Rape is when one person DOESN'T want it. It’s also common knowledge that f***ing someone is used as a way to humiliate an opponent, whether you're at war or just arguing. Doesn't matter if they're the same gender or opposite.

You don't screw political rivals because you actually want them; you do it to get revenge. You couldn't care less if they're into it or not.

It's straight-up threats of assault, no matter how much people try to play semantics. This guy isn't stupid enough to write out "gangrape," so he uses "gangbang" instead to act all "classy" and pretend everything's fine.

Aside from us, I honestly don't get why people think this kind of talk belongs on Reddit. When you guys ban people just for trolling, you're basically sending the message that this stuff is okay.

This dude has been using this exact phrase for months, and somehow it keeps flying right under the moderators' noses. 🙂

As I previously stated, removing the signature was merely a suggestion intended to de-escalate the situation. No one is actually insisting on it.

Regarding the rest, I find myself unable to agree, which is why his posts are being scrutinized. In your initial grievance, you speak of threats of mass sexual assault directed specifically at you, and then go on to mention the numerous women assaulted by insurgents. Based on those claims, you are demanding a total overhaul of Sun Tzu's principles. Given how dramatic your interpretation was, this entire "gang bang" business had to be addressed.

Sun Tzu72 has been banned via a custom cardboard cutout for trolling and issued a warning to cease such behavior. I trust this matter is settled and won't recur; if I am mistaken, we will deal with it should it happen again.

I consider this matter closed, so I am locking the thread.
