Does anyone know where I can find the cheapest Microsoft Office 2013, or maybe if there's any way to still pick up the 2010 version? I run a small business, so I need to buy both Windows and Microsoft Office for every single workstation—and honestly, it’s starting to kill me. This is my third computer so far, and when you factor in the cost of Business versions of Windows and Microsoft Office, the software ends up costing more than the actual hardware! So far, the best price I've come across is around $567. Does anyone happen to know if it's even possible to get my hands on the 2010 edition anymore?

You didn't even consider a free alternative like LibreOffice. Honestly, even though I have Microsoft Office installed, I find myself using LibreOffice way more often. If you really need the official suite for some specific reason, maybe just grab Microsoft Office for a single PC. Otherwise, stick to the free stuff. Just a little suggestion and some info from my side... ☕

I'm with you there. Back when I was working in a project management office, only one workstation actually had Microsoft Office—and even then, it was just the 2003 version—while everything else was running on something like Apache OpenOffice.

Why the "have to"? Why "of course"? Since when is it written in some rulebook that you HAVE to use a Windows & Office combo to run a business? :banghead:

Look, I’ll just add my two cents—LibreOffice isn't just fully compatible with Microsoft Office; in some specific areas, it actually outperforms it...

On paper, everything looks seamless, but in reality, you're going to run into quite a few compatibility headaches. It really all boils down to the specific file you're working with and the nature of the project at hand...

Even with the basic stuff, I still managed to trip up on Microsoft Office 2013.

Like, trying to export an Excel sheet to a CSV using UTF-8 Character encoding.
Then actually importing it back in correctly.

I just hopped over to LibreOffice Calc and knocked it out without breaking a sweat.
