So, first off, our Funny photo 2 thread just vanished into thin air—and after spending a few days playing detective to figure out where it went, we finally caught wind that it was nuked because someone decided to drop some new rules on us.
Just so we’re all clear—our moderator, William Myers7, isn't exactly thrilled about these new rules either (if you can even call them rules instead of just straight-up restrictions). But apparently, some Obergruppenführer just woke up one day, totally unprovoked, and decided he needed to enforce some incredibly virtuous little policies over on the jokes forum.
Alright, fair enough. I'm on board with that.
Long story short—underwear just doesn't count as a joke. It's really not that deep, I guess.
Also, I guess staring at women's nipples could obviously do some serious damage to everyone's eyesight—not to mention our collective moral compass here on the forum.
So, are male nipples actually allowed? I mean, I guess it depends on the context—like, if we're talking about certain dress codes or whatever—but I was just wondering if there's any actual rule against it. Maybe it’s fine, maybe it isn't... who really knows?🙂 Discrimination, plain and simple. If we’re going to ban women's nipples, then I guess we might as well ban men's too—it only seems fair, right?
So, what's the deal with that whole thong rule? I mean, I guess there’s some logic behind it—maybe—but honestly, it just seems a bit much.🤷
Look, I’m all for the bare aesthetic—I get that—but I honestly don't see why people are getting worked up over a little lace or some thongs. It's not that deep, I guess.
A Boratov costume? I mean, is that actually allowed or is it totally off-limits?
It’s a pretty "flexible" rule—if you can even call it that—which makes it incredibly vague and, honestly, highly debatable. I guess you could interpret it however you wanted, which means anyone could apply it to just about anything depending on their mood.
So, apparently, any hint of anything erotic is strictly off-limits—which means you could end up facing some kind of penalty or a formal warning. I guess we're playing by those rules now.
This, for instance, leans toward being erotic—just a little kid staring right at Sanja Doležal’s cleavage:
I can't really get into the specifics of what's happening in that video—it's just a link, after all—but I guess if you're looking for my take on whatever content is tucked away there, you might be waiting a while. It’s hard to have an opinion on a blank space, isn't it? Maybe it's some deep, philosophical masterpiece or maybe it's just someone filming their cat in Chicago, but without more context, I'm basically just staring at a URL. If there was something specific you wanted me to weigh in on, I suppose you could let me know... though I can't promise I won't wander off on a tangent about something completely unrelated.
Honestly, that kind of thing shouldn't even be allowed on Vice. Plus, I feel like Sanja needs to be reported to the HRT Ethics Committee—maybe get her suspended for a few months or something—and then they could set some specific terms for her...
So, you spend half a year working your tail off for the greater good—really putting yourself out there and showing what you're made of—only to have the little guy snatched away from his parents? Then they go out and find him some guardian—ideally a priest, because apparently, those guys have a better eye for cleavage than anyone else. I guess that's just how the world works these days.
It’s the same debatable rule here.
Obviously, nobody is going to be posting hardcore porn on Reddit.
But, why is eroticism such a problem? Take, for instance, a women's soccer match where a player gets caught up in the heat of the game and accidentally pulls her opponent's jersey, revealing her
breasts. Someone posts that clip on Reddit. That isn't promoting anything bad—it's just being shared for a laugh.
But, with rules this rigid, Reddit is probably going to end up feeling pretty empty...

Just a heads-up—pornography isn't allowed here. That means no explicit images or GIFs showing genitals, and obviously, no actual sex acts either. I guess we'll just keep things PG-13 around here.
I guess I should probably weigh in here—though I’m not sure if anyone actually cares about my take on this. Looking at what Jose Edwards16 said... it’s interesting, I suppose. Maybe. It feels like we’re just circling the same drain we always do, isn't it? Anyway, regarding that whole situation with the HRT Ethics Committee—if you can even call it that—it seems like they're just trying to save face. It’s kind of a joke, really. They act like they have some moral high ground, but then you look at how things actually function behind the scenes, and it's just... well, it's what you'd expect. Not exactly surprising, but still a bit much. I don't know. I might be overthinking it. Or maybe I'm underthinking it. It's hard to tell sometimes when everyone is just shouting into the void. Just my two cents, I guess.
Alright, fair enough. I'm on board with that.
So, just a heads-up—female breasts with visible nipples aren't allowed either. And before you ask, no, there’s no more hiding images or GIFs behind those 18+ content warnings. That's off the table now.
So, apparently, transparent underwear or bras aren't allowed—which, if you look back at point one, basically means you can't have any male or female genitalia showing through. I guess that's just how they're playing it.

Also, just so we’re clear—bare buttocks aren't allowed either—even if they're tucked into a thong, whether you're talking about men or women. I guess that's just how the rules stand.

Just a heads-up—no erotic images or GIFs allowed. I don't care if you think they're subtle or that they don't technically violate points one, two, or three... let's just not go there.

5. Sensitive or controversial content is allowed, provided you post the image or GIF as a URL and tag it with the Dark Humor label. This applies to jokes based on religion, race, nationality, or similar themes.
