Just out of pure curiosity, is there any way I can see who’s been checking out my profile here? Since this isn't Facebook 😁 and everything stays pretty anonymous, I was just wondering if there's some kind of way to tell if a specific user is constantly lurking on my page (I've got a little hunch that there might be a certain 🙂...

I'm pretty sure there's a plugin out there for that, but honestly, this forum feels like it's been stuck in 1998, so unfortunately, I can't actually see it right now.

It’s honestly such a shame that this feature isn't visible yet.

To begin with, you'd see an immediate surge in bot accounts, and more importantly, we need to allow people the freedom to browse in peace; if everyone is constantly being monitored, all the fun disappears, and let's be honest, this isn't Tinder.

That being said, I personally would love to see a "like" button added to posts, simply because there are certain things I want to show appreciation for without feeling the need to leave a comment.

I mean, unfortunately, I'd love to see things like who's checking my profile, and that doesn't have anything to do with Facebook; certain plugins would be incredibly useful, but like I said, the people running this either don't have the technical know-how, don't have the motivation, or they're just stuck in the 90s—probably a little bit of all three, really.

Honestly, looking at things from a technical standpoint, this forum is pretty much a disaster in a lot of ways. I have no clue which specific page keeps crashing so often, and don't even get me started on that 408 error—it's just ridiculous. They haven't fixed the color settings issue, half the stuff isn't even translated from English, (...) basically, the whole UI looks cheap, and the only reason this place is still hanging on is because of the die-hard users who stick around despite it all.

Look, maybe having an insight into who’s checking out my profile would be asking for too much, okay, fine, but I feel like people would eventually realize that someone glancing once in a while isn't some creepy stalker, whereas if someone is constantly peeking, they probably have a motive—maybe even a romantic one.

At the end of the day, maybe that could actually lead to more connections, more friendships, or even relationships, and definitely way more DMs being sent back and forth.🤷

And honestly, I don't see anything wrong with that. 😉

Just because people (or the forum admins) aren't obsessed Facebook fanboys like kids are these days doesn't mean they're outdated.

A forum is supposed to be a place where anonymity is respected. Honestly, if someone is stalking me, I couldn't care less.

The silver lining is that this option only exists on this University of Florida PDF thing.

The biggest issue with this forum is that the server stability is about as reliable as a broken lawnmower, and the admins don't seem to have the drive to fix it.

If someone has a crush on someone else or just wants to meet them, they usually just reach out and start talking. That's how we old-schoolers used to do things, without all the Facebook nonsense and other teenage drama. ☕

Man, one day these kids won't even know what the weather is like outside without checking Facebook first...

Why isn't there an option for "Current Activity" on everyone's profile that shows exactly where on the forum the person you're viewing is hanging out? 🤔

In theory, this would give you a way to see who’s checking out your profile, but only if you already "know" (or at least have a strong hunch) who might be snooping around and when.

Of course, if that were the case, they'd also see that you're looking at their profile too. 😛

If you want to tweak things around, just head over to Settings & Options, hit Edit Options, and then select Use Invisible moda.
