Is it just me, or did Ferrari change up the nose design for this race?

Just the usual Lotus routine... got Komatsu on the monitors ☕

Ferrari is way more authentic anyway. Plus, they don't even bother putting Mobil 1 on the side.

Kimi Räikkönen was actually pretty solid today

Ferrari seems to have stumbled upon some extra pace. I can only hope Kimi Räikkönen’s machine performs just as reliably when the pressure starts mounting at the end of the race. 🙏

It looks that way to me too. It’s pretty obvious they’re feeling the pressure in Detroit to catch up to those other silver cars. I'd say they're getting really close.

Look, Kimi is a beast, but he needs some time to get used to a new car that he didn't help build from the ground up. If we want to get philosophical about it, almost every car from 2010 to 2013 is really just an evolution of the 2009 concepts. Since car development isn't a total reset every year—they still inherit traits from the previous season—we can reach a conclusion. That conclusion? The F14T basically has the DNA of the F60. So, technically, Kimi did participate in the development. Just kidding.
As long as Kimi stays motivated throughout the season, he'll be great.

Mercedes-Benz might just slide right back onto the front row; looks like some heavy sandbagging was happening out there today.

Red Bull is looking incredibly competitive—Sebastian Vettel was absolutely tearing up those lap times.
Fernando Alonso also showed some serious pace during his final stint.
Williams is trailing a bit, though they at least look like they belong on the grid.
As for McLaren? Still a total wildcard.
