OSCAR 2014 / 86th Academy Awards
Wiki
So, we finally have the big names for this year's nominees for the prestigious Academy prize! Can you believe "American Hustle" and "Gravity" both managed to snag a massive 10 nominations each? Talk about sweeping the floor!
BEST PICTURE NOMINEES:
"American Hustle"
"Captain Phillips"
"Dallas Buyers Club"
"Gravity"
"Her"
"Nebraska"
"Philomena"
"12 Years a Slave"
"The Wolf of Wall Street"
Since everyone seems to be saying this was one of those legendary years for cinema, isn't it kind of wild that the Academy didn't take the chance to nominate 10 films for Best Picture? You'd think they would've gone bigger, right?
Now that all the nominations are officially out in the open, I really feel like it’s only fair if we set up an Oscar poll right here so we can all vote on our absolute favorites.
I'm asking everyone on the forum to please try and stick to the main thread Oscar 2014. Maybe drop a quick little comment here if you have to, but let's keep this specific spot focused so people actually see it and jump in to vote, since that's really what this thread is for!
Thanks guys!
