I’m just not feeling Ryan Gosling as an actor; he comes across as totally sterile🙄 so any hope for actual chemistry is completely dead for me. I actually had to stop watching halfway through—that was a month ago, by the way. Honestly, Anne Hathaway needs to try a different path instead of just making movies that follow the exact same formula as The Notebook. She really needs to take a page out of Ryan Gosling's book.😁

She does have a few other movies that aren't quite the same vibe:

State of Play
The Lucky One

And Sherlock, obviously...😉

I actually really loved this movie 😍 Honestly, I’m not even comparing it to The Notebook—the story just stands perfectly fine on its own.

It just caught me at a bit of a bad time, I guess... I was already feeling pretty emotional, so I ended up totally breaking down. 😬

I’ve sat through this one twice now, and honestly, there’s just something so deeply moving and beautiful about it... It avoids that tired, predictable trope where memory suddenly snaps back into place right at the end, which would have felt so cheap, wouldn't it? Instead, they stuck to the fact that it was actually inspired by a true story, and I find myself quite relieved that they didn't feel the need to sanitize the reality for the sake of a Hollywood happy ending. 🙏

Decent flick, but honestly? I expected way more.

The lead actress is just unbearable, seriously. 🤣
I’ve never really been big on Anne Hathaway—I mean, The Notebook was basically her only win for me—but here she is just straight-up annoying. ☕

Liked the ending, though.
It actually had some weight to it instead of just leaning on those tired old Hollywood clichés.

🤣🙏 How long did it actually take you to find this thread? You’ve been trimming down the subforums, but this is just wasting everyone's time! Seriously! 🤣
Anyway, how many bad romances with two sexy actors am I cutting through right now? ☕
