First of all, how on earth can you even call Romani people that slur?

Calling someone a Gypsy or a Rom is basically the same thing—nobody’s actually gonna take offense if you call them that. It’s just a standard way to describe where they’re from.

But if we were playing by your rules, we’d have to deal with this too.
I mean, if that's how you want to roll, then every Native American would be offended if you called them an Eskimo!
And apparently, saying that would be considered an insult everywhere you go.
Did you even know that? Probably not... whatever...
Anyway...

Just wondering, if anyone knows... why was this thread deleted?
Thanks

As far as I am aware, the term Gypsy is considered a slur when referring to the Romani community.

Nah. Maybe do a little digging before you start lecturing me...
Just get off the internet, go actually talk to people for once, then we'll see...
But honestly, that's not even the point here. Can someone—anyone—tell me:
Why did they delete my thread?
If you guys need to swap out one term for another just to feel better about yourselves, fine. Go ahead.

Please take a moment to review this subforum's rules and submit your appeal following those guidelines. Just to clarify—you didn't specify which subforum the thread was originally in. I guess we can't really address appeals like that.
