So, did anyone else here catch the concert?
Honestly, I left feeling pretty let down. When I read reviews claiming they were "blown away" or "absolutely thrilled," I have to wonder—was the author even in the same room as me?
Or maybe the writer just hasn't been back to Madison Square Garden since that first, truly legendary show, whereas I have, so my expectations were set at an impossibly high bar?
They took all those great old classics and mashed them together into this single, driving rhythm; you couldn't even tell the songs apart unless you knew the lyrics by heart. To be blunt, it was just bad. It was just the same repetitive beat, endless choruses that felt more like a stadium chant than actual music, with the soul of the songs sacrificed just to keep the tempo up...
From what I could see, only the fan pit was actually dancing, and even then, the energy seemed to die out toward the back. Most of the crowd just stood there with this look on their faces, sort of like, "When are they going to play the good stuff?" It was almost as if they didn't even recognize the songs themselves.

Bio, I don't have much to say about this one... this was actually my third time seeing him live. The first time at Madison Square Garden, he absolutely blew my mind; the sheer amount of energy and those incredible sounds you only experience in person—it was powerful and purely positive. Then there was the second concert at the Chicago World's Fair, where I walked away with a smile that lasted for an entire week. It was just so fulfilling. But tonight? After this show, I’m feeling completely indifferent. At first, I tried to justify it to myself by blaming the poor venue choice, the terrible weather, the annoying wait for a beer in a line that didn't budge for thirty minutes, or even the subpar sound system. But honestly, last night just didn't land. It felt like a blur of things that all sounded like one long, endless Latin fiesta. No real message, no political statements, no raw emotion—just pure, mindless rock and roll madness.

Everything said about the music getting worse is spot on, but man, the organization and venue were trash. Beer lines were insane—waited like 20 minutes just for some watered-down brew. There were puddles everywhere on the floor. And the VIP stuff? Some people get fan pit access and others don't, even with tickets under $200. As for the music, after the shows in Philly and Chicago, this was weak. The first half was all mid-tempo, though the second half picked up a bit, especially during the hits. The crowd felt a little older, too—not much hype. I can't speak for the pit, but the rest of us were pretty chill. It could've been better, honestly. He needs to keep the tempo up; these slow vibes just don't work live.
