Big thumbs up from me!
Velvet is easily one of the heavy hitters on this board; any thread she touches gets an instant upgrade. She’s sharp, knows her stuff, and has been a lifesaver for plenty of people here with advice that should be required reading for anyone joining the community.
The whole community loses out if we don't let her back in—meaning we lift the ban she actually requested herself before the site policy even changed. Honestly, making a new profile would be a waste anyway since she's already built a reputation and a real identity here. Nobody likes clones. 🙂
If anyone deserves a second chance, it's her.
Rules aren't carved in stone. They can be tweaked or amended to allow for lifting bans on people who asked for them themselves before the policy shift happened.

Jose Ruiz2 said:If the new rules say no more lifting permanent bans upon request, then fine. Taking her perm would break the rules, and I don't see why Velvet should get special treatment just because she's a high-quality member.
So, the perm isn't getting lifted because it'd violate the rules. You guys are just whistling in the wind at this point.
