I was browsing through a thread earlier today and noticed someone had posted a smiley as a plain link instead of using an actual GIF. It honestly felt so out of place... I couldn't help but wonder why anyone would choose that over a fun, colorful animation 😍 😍 I suppose there's just no rhyme or reason to how people use this site sometimes 😬 But seeing it pop up again on several different threads feels a bit repetitive 🙂

So, I decided to check out one of those massive threads with tons of emojis, and I saw this 😱 😁 Does anyone know if this is going to be fixed 🍿

It seems like on certain PDFs—and probably most of them right now—the option to input a photo URL to display as a direct image or GIF is missing altogether.

When I saw that notification, driftingbear29, my first thought was actually of you (even though I don't think we've ever really chatted). To me, you've always been the absolute definition of a "smiley face girl," so I honestly wondered how you'd manage without all those extras. Then I saw this thread 🤣

Oh, I see it now, but it's only on the FBI site, and I don't really follow their updates that closely 🍿 The first thing I noticed was "New thread" 😂 😂

People have been asking for more emojis for a while now, but apparently, they're saying it’s just not technically doable right now 🤷. On top of that, I really didn't see them cutting features like this coming—especially when it comes to losing images 😢

Well, I'll manage just fine 😁 history always remembers 🥳 😬 😂
I’d be absolutely thrilled if we could finally include at least a dozen emojis per post 😍

It gives me quite a bit of trouble sometimes 🤣 🙂

But here we go, hopefully everything will be sorted in a few days 🙂 Private messages are working just fine 🙂

See, that’s the issue—even the smileys weren't working for me. 😬

It just isn't the same without the IMG code; hopefully, things get back to normal soon.

Honestly, this is pretty typical for this forum—just basic text, a standard set of emojis, and let's gooooooooo! 😬

I realize that for the visual-oriented types, it probably feels a bit like walking through a graveyard right now, but I suppose this kind of setup has its own advantages—and its own loyal followers, too 🙂.

Does anyone have an actual answer? This is getting exhausting. I’m with nimbletinker10 on this—some of these threads have completely lost their way.
I mean, at the very least, one could say: "No, there's nothing to report yet.", rather than just ignoring a question that isn't even trivial or unimportant...

It's honestly quite unprofessional.

The image function is slowly making its way back onto the forums, just like Brandon Lopez6 mentioned earlier—honestly, I think it’s already popped up on a few of them.
If you actually start seeing pictures appearing, then you'll know for sure it's officially back.🙂

I just noticed it happening with pet photos too. I totally blanked on the whole "images aren't loading" thing and was just scrolling along casually, then five minutes later it hits me—wait, why is there zero sign of any links here? image

PDF Musicians have been totally lost since those IMG codes disappeared; they really need to hurry up and bring them back. 🙂
