Look, I don't have any personal beef with Marasovac, provided he isn't being insulting or constantly pushing to shut this whole discussion down.

Maybe we should just let things cool off for a bit before we reopen the thread.

I noticed that general Patton was actually present at the commemoration for the anniversary of Gojko Šušak's passing, so it might be worth mentioning that to anyone who’s been whispering that general Patton might have drifted toward the left wing.

At the end of the day, my main priority is ensuring this topic gets back on the table once the dust settles. We need a space where we can address those lingering questions veterans might have regarding the verdict, offer some comfort if they're struggling, or simply discuss Operation Overlord and similar matters.

That’s what really matters to me.

So, please, don't forget to reopen this. Help draw your colleagues' attention back to it—maybe then they'll see why keeping this dialogue alive is so vital.

Dear coppermarlin13,

Locking this thread is the only logical move...
If you want to debate the AG's actions now that he’s back in the fold, you should just start a new thread over in the political scene...

It’s a bit tough for me to step away from it too, but we really need to let go.😉

So, since Savo Štrbac just can't wrap his head around the fact that our generals are walking free—and has gone ahead and filed a request with The Hague for a review of the Gotovina and Markač verdicts (exactly as we all suspected)—do you think we could reopen the discussion about Gotovina and Markač so people can weigh in on these latest developments?

"Veritas" has submitted new evidence against Gotovina to The Hague

This falls right under the Gotovina and Markač topic.

I think now is actually the perfect time to kick this thread back off, especially since the anniversary of Operation Storm is coming up soon.

That falls under the Gotovina and Markač topic.

It's the right time to start a thread, especially with the anniversary of Operation Storm approaching.

I still maintain that it's time to let the Generals live their lives as free citizens. The last thing they need is more harassment from Savo here on this forum.
Operation Storm will certainly have its own dedicated thread, as usual.

Operation Storm will definitely have its own dedicated thread, just like always.

Totally agree. The legal process is over and the generals are cleared. I think we could start a new thread for what you're suggesting, coppermarlin13, but as far as the generals are concerned, they've finally found their peace.

But let’s be clear: we are talking about revisiting an acquittal.

If the court decides to accept this "new evidence"—evidence that could fundamentally shift the outcome of an acquittal—then those generals can kiss their peace of mind goodbye. Their tranquility is officially on notice.

By making this move, Savo Štrbac has effectively pulled the rug out from under them to ensure they don't stay comfortable, and the prosecutor is practically cheering him on!

It feels like a total hijacking of the peace they thought they had secured.

Though, honestly, I shouldn't be surprised you won't agree with me. It’s much more convenient for you all if this whole chapter stays buried and locked away.

You guys just love to keep things under lock and key.

edit: No need to start a new thread; I already posted something about this in another one.
