Black Knights are out in front of Central Park!

I have a quick question for the Black Knights fans out there. What actually triggered last night's clash with the police? All I see in The Daily Mail is that things got heated between the fans and the cops, but nobody seems to be covering the actual root cause or how the whole thing kicked off. In my experience, there’s always a specific spark that eventually leads to an escalation like this.

Because all the headlines say is that you guys got into a scuffle with law enforcement—nobody is bothering to report the actual cause or how the whole thing kicked off. Look, I get that you might have had a few too many drinks last night—honestly, it happens—but even with the most basic brain functions intact, one should be able to draw their own conclusions here.

Man, go watch some Jazz instead.🙂

Even if I posted a hundred photos above your comment, I suppose you still wouldn't grasp what happened. 🙄

I totally get where everyone is coming from regarding Azapović, but I can't help wondering if there was some prior police action that triggered this whole thing. As it stands, it looks like the Black Knights just picked a fight out of nowhere with a "peaceful" and "calm" police force that was just standing there. If you look at that article on CNN, they’re painting the officers as heroes, claiming that after dealing with various provocations like thrown flares and bottles, they simply had no other choice.
In my experience, stuff like this doesn't just happen without a reason. Things boiled over in Prague when the police arrested T. for no apparent cause, and back in 2004, during a Dynamo match against Vatican City, things turned ugly because a security guard tried to detain someone for holding a flare.

You can't just take a young man's life and expect everyone to just move on...
Nobody wants to be the one to post this photo—it's too much—but we have to call out this repression...

Otherwise, it looks like the Black Knights just attacked a "peaceful" police force out of nowhere while they were just standing there. Just look at that article on the news site portraying them as heroes ("The officers, having already endured provocations like thrown flares and bottles, simply had no other choice.")
In my experience, this kind of chaos never happens without a reason. Things boiled over in Prague when the police arrested T. for no reason, and back in 2004 during a Dynamo match against Vatican City, things went south because a guard tried to arrest someone for holding a flare.
It's just drugged-up kids, irresponsible individuals, misguided youth, slackers, frustrated teens, political activists, and people driven mad by nothing—all attacking pedestrians and an ambulance out of thin air (not to mention the ultra-haters of emergency services and natural medicine advocates). Our local police had no choice but to step in under heavy pressure from their superiors to restore order, which is exactly what they're trained for!
Everything is right there in the papers, but I guess today we’ll have fancy psychologists and sociologists explaining it all, along with some talk show featuring people who claim to actually understand what fans are going through!
Just sit on your couch and watch TV; it'll all be explained to you!

I have to say, seeing the attachment in today’s edition of The Daily Mail was an incredibly pleasant surprise.
It’s the usual standard you'd expect from a major network—just seven instances of the word "hooligan" per minute, zero actual analysis, just... 🙂🙂🙂

Typical local news garbage though—just shouting "hooligan" seven times a minute without a single shred of actual analysis, just... ugh...🙂🙂🙂
Honestly, it was so obvious in that report from the local news station that they were basically ordered to bury the lead. They barely mentioned the actual incident at all; instead, they tried to pin the whole riot on ticket prices like nothing else happened.

Anyone got a link where I can catch the replay or something similar?

It’s just the typical ABC News style, isn't it? You get seven mentions of "hooligans" per minute without a single shred of actual analysis, honestly...🙂🙂🙂
So, what actually happened on the news? Is there any way I can go back and watch it?
