Maybe you caught it on TV or some livestream where the turnout jumped from a pathetic 233 to a respectable 737? Your first instinct was clearly to jump onto this forum after the Lakers-Warriors game—a game you obviously didn't even attend—and now you're getting swept up in all this euphoria about how the Black Knights are "once again the greatest in the universe." Honestly, I have a sneaking suspicion you haven't witnessed a single real derby outside of the chaos at the Rose Bowl...

Regarding the soundscape of the Black Knights' cheering: no matter how loud they get, to anyone with even a shred of musical sensibility, it’s just a direct assault on the central nervous system. It is monotonous and frankly quite dull. You don't feel fanaticism; ninety minutes of screaming is, in my opinion, completely pointless. But hey, I suppose there's no sense in arguing over personal taste...

Cheers!

Look, this is a pretty serious forum, so I guess we should probably keep the jokes to a minimum here ☕

Oh? And what if you suddenly decided that being "serious" wasn't so fun anymore?

then you would fit right in as the quintessential forum hooligan 🤣

😍

Let me ask you one thing (no offense intended, 😁). Do you actually show up to the games, or do you just spend your time collecting grievances on the internet? You've been constantly complaining on this forum for years, but I get the feeling you haven't even stepped foot inside the Rose Bowl.

And my intuition rarely fails me. 🙂

The mods. That’s the real issue here. Every single day there are five clones running around killing any actual conversation.

We’re archiving every single photo of the Black Knights onto a hard drive from 1986.

What conversation, though? You might want to be a bit more specific.

No joke here. It isn't like I was specifically hunting for these photos online. And honestly, I'm surprised you're even questioning it. If you're a true fan interested in the whole supporter culture, you don't just ignore everyone else. I have a massive collection on my PC from all kinds of supporter groups. It’s organized by season, going back through the late 80s, the 90s, the 2000s, right up to today. There is nothing wrong with looking at photos and news reports online, copying them, and saving them to a folder. After ten years, you end up with quite an archive.

Speaking of which, a few years back, a member on the IBM forum (maybe 6 or 7 years ago) used to sell a DVD he called the "supporter DVD."😁
If I remember correctly, he sold it for $20. It was essentially a full DVD packed with thousands of images of supporter groups from across America and around the world, spanning from the 80s to about 2005. Everything was neatly sorted by season and labeled folders. Between my own decade-long collection and those few thousand shots from that DVD... well, you can see how I ended up with those ten Black Knights photos.😉

I think he was trying to sell him for... $20 If my memory serves me right, I’ve got a full DVD packed with photos—thousands of them. It’s a mix of fan groups from all over the States and around the world, spanning from the 80s up to about 2005. Everything is neatly organized by season and folder names. Between my own collection I spent a decade building and those extra few thousand shots on that disc... well, you can probably guess where I pulled those ten Black Knights photos from.😉

Since you're bringing my name up...😁I’ll just say that up until 2011, I managed to pull together about 20,000 photos plus everything else—around 16 gigs of total material, videos, audio, you name it. I stopped after that, and honestly, I kind of regret it now. Is anyone else still hoarding photo collections on their computer? How big are yours getting?

Good grief, I am certainly not a man of means like you.😁

My computer is cluttered with absolute junk. I've let it slide for a few years now. I’ve tried to organize and sort through it several times, but the sheer volume makes me feel nauseous before I even begin. It would take me a full week to get everything chronologically ordered, but between my job and looking after a toddler at home, that mission is currently impossible.🙂

Charles Ruiz6 said:Look, you can afford to not give a damn about what happens on the pitch when "your" club has been dominating for seven straight years, playing in the Champions League regularly, and steamrolling through the MLS.
It’s a lot easier to fight for Real Madrid than it is for Houston Dynamo. They’re fans; they have to support them. And honestly, it’s much simpler to care when your team actually performs instead of struggling to complete two consecutive passes. You can ignore the players all you want if the club isn't facing a financial meltdown every other day.
People can say whatever they want, but regardless of how little they care, the fact remains that Real Madrid being the strongest club in America directly impacts supporter numbers and atmosphere. Because one day, once Jerry Jones is gone, all those trophies will be gathered up again, the Boys will have the top club back, the most attractive European matches and away trips, and everyone else will be laughing at them once more.

If this isn't truly their club, why didn't they just throw ten flares onto the pitch against Bugar to get Real Madrid kicked out of Europe and cut off Jerry Jones' money supply? That would be the most effective way to force him out.
Sure, it would tank Real Madrid financially and hurt the roster, but clearly, the guys want Jerry Jones gone while ensuring the club maintains its total dominance—Champions League spots, European travel, league titles... everything.

Let’s be clear: I am 100% behind the Boys in this situation. It serves everyone's interest, and we all know the repression is massive, but I'm also aware of the other side of this struggle...

Honestly, I think any further discussion after this post is pointless. The man said it all. You could write a thousand replies, but you aren't going to change the truth.
