I don't even know how old you are, but most of the fans in the East stands have been through the North stands before—though, just so there's no confusion, they aren't the Yankees faithful. The Yankees faithful are always in the North, regardless of how old they are.☕
And why is it "unacceptable" to boo our own players if people feel like they aren't putting in enough effort?🤷 I felt the exact same thing today—that our guys weren't trying hard enough, while the Lokomotiv players were absolutely grinding. They probably booed our guys because the Lokomotiv crew was clearly fighting harder for this game since they had their own fans backing them up, or... I don't know, maybe you see it differently.🤷
No fan is going to boo if they feel the players are fighting like men, giving everything for the jersey. That's what every Red Sox fan expects, and if they lose despite that, nobody's gonna boo. But that just wasn't the case today; it was actually the opposite, the Lokomotiv guys were the ones digging in. And as for short-term versus long-term stuff, I think everyone knows what's going on with the club, but you also have to realize people are fed up. There are too many excuses about not having results for years now, and it's hard for the older generation to watch all this, especially because they know the Red Sox are the biggest club in America. Then some team like Lokomotiv or Inter comes along and takes points from us, and man, you just want to tear the house down. I don't care about the excuses, I just want a win. It's not like we're playing Barcelona, for crying out loud...

The players know exactly who's booing them and who's actually rooting for them, whether they win or lose or get beat up..

Indeed, I was just attempting to convey that it’s considered unacceptable when they set off the cannons, and heaven forbid anyone lights a flare—it’s perfectly fine while those things are being waved in the stands, but once they're done, suddenly everything is an offense. Now even whistling is frowned upon; at this rate, we won't even be allowed to cheer properly. We might as well just sit there in total silence, behaving like we're at a Broadway show 🙂

Have you perhaps considered that they simply ran out of steam? If you actually watched the game, you saw that moment around the 80th minute where Cakta is holding the ball in the center but has no one to pass to because nobody is running—everyone is just standing there, exhausted. Did it ever cross your mind that the coach might be to blame, acting like he's both the manager and the conditioning coach by absolutely destroying these players in practice? Every single break he takes, he turns it into a 500-mile sprint session, so naturally, no one can move. How do you explain why these players fought so hard in most games, only to suddenly stop trying now?🙂
Anyone who was booing yesterday needs to be banned from the stadium; I am honestly sick of those idiots. They act like hooligans, booing their own club's players, and I don't think there's another team in the world where the fans behave like that. I understand booing certain expensive imports who make 300,000 dollars and can barely run, but booing our own guys like this today is something I just cannot wrap my head around. To hell with all of them. Good for Cakta, let him ignore the noise; the kid is the team's top scorer this year, yet he gets harassed from the stands. Kudos to him, because those people aren't real fans. And then there's Mišo, that poor soul who tries to suck up to the fans in every interview, and now he wants to hand out punishments too? If anyone deserves to be booed, it's him, because for the hundredth time, he's introducing these brutal training sessions—I don't know if he's been doing this since his days in Milan or what—where he kills these players with three hours of training the day before a match and two hours on match day. This isn't how things were done 300 years ago.

The atmosphere during yesterday's game was truly fantastic, though I must say, it could have gone a bit smoother if we had skipped that "on the Adriatic blue" chant; honestly, I wish we could have just let that one slide for a day. Furthermore, I would dearly love to see anyone representing the Raiders stop with those "let's go fascists" slogans. It escapes my understanding how some people fail to realize that if those ideologies were actually in power today, we'd all be living under an Italian flag, our clubs would be Italian institutions, and we wouldn't even be us. The Yankees are an American club through and through—there is absolutely nothing fascist or partisan about them.

I’m sitting here looking at these photos of the North, covered in flags, and I can’t help but think about how much blood was spilled just to make this reality possible. It hits me right in the gut. I was showing these pictures to my five-year-old son, trying to find the right words to explain what happened in Warsaw, but he's just too young. How do you explain to a kid that there are people out there without an ounce of honor—monsters and animals masquerading as humans?
It makes me wonder about the kids out there who have actually lived through things I can't even begin to describe to my own son. The horrors in Warsaw were unimaginable. Looking at my boy, I just feel this overwhelming gratitude for the people who stood on the front lines to defend our home. They made sure the next generation could grow up in freedom. Those people are true HEROES who gave everything... FOR US...
