I honestly think it’s better that the first game is being played in Miami

Since we're already talking about Indians and clowns and all that nonsense... she'll definitely bring ten thousand people to that opening match while we're still sitting at zero

Because let's be real, expecting us to hold our own in Milan against them is a stretch, especially if they've got a double handicap or even more going for them

Here’s the coverage from the Miami Herald...

It's an absolute disgrace!

I honestly can't believe this; I just started my two-week vacation today, and this is what they decide to pull, leaving everyone completely rattled. Even Brbic is out there giving statements basically implying it's a shame we got knocked out so early because now they have to focus on filling the coffers instead. It's pathetic.

What kind of nonsense is this? How is it even possible to reschedule a match in a major European tournament? This is the first time I've ever heard of such a thing happening.

I mean, fine, let them take the win if that's how it works, but I am just fed up with the sheer incompetence here. To hell with all of them. If they hadn't been so incredibly foolish and had actually put the tickets on sale Friday morning before the first game, they would have sold out all the way to Milan by now. Are they really that dense? Honestly, I'm just bitter and exhausted by it all.

Instead of getting those tickets moving immediately, they choose to play some half-hearted game of "let's see what happens" while the management just folds under pressure. They've already surrendered. This doesn't even feel like my club anymore; they just gave up right away. Why do they even bother showing up to play at all if this is the attitude? 😠

I mean, seriously, if the attendance was at 25,000, maybe an Inter Milan crowd would hit 35,000 and then we just end up losing 6-0... at those prices, it feels more like they're targeting kids just to pad their profit margins.

By moving things around like this, they're basically telling everyone the game is already decided—like we've already lost and there's no point in fighting back or giving it our all, etc., etc.

...man, some people just rush into things, I guess. Some have probably already booked their flights and everything.🤣

This goes against everything Liverpool FC stands for.

They're selling their souls just to line their pockets.

Like, when does someone finally show up with a few solid pieces already established in the network?
I have to say, I’m right there with you on the idea that the stadium would be absolutely packed regardless, and honestly, I couldn't agree more with that last point you made.

I mean, honestly, if you put those tickets up for sale before August 2nd, you’ve basically got the entire weekend to clear them out before that first match in Milan, and everything is going to be sold out—not to mention you’ll have already moved a few thousand memberships.

Is it really that hard to pull off? Honestly, it’s pretty obvious. It would be a lot easier to just fold your hand and walk away right now.

I swear, those losers are absolute trash! Honestly, what a bunch of pathetic losers.
We can't bring any flares into the stadium because of the penalty. We're playing it safe to make sure we don't get relegated.
So, what exactly are they even doing?🙂

Facts. Real Madrid’s marketing is a total train wreck, run by some unhinged mess barely holding it together, but Liverpool FC turned into a loser club because of the idiots running the show...

You don't even know how bad it gets...

This decision is pathetic. What a bunch of losers... 🤷😲

basvi said:It doesn't really matter where the match was played, because if you're going to blow it, you're going to blow it regardless.

The only difference is that everyone was hyping up this first game, and now that we actually lost, suddenly nobody cares.
And honestly, I don't buy the argument that some kind of pressure could be put on the Italians to make them throw away their lead in retaliation. That just sounds fake to me.
But what the management did? Well, they basically folded immediately... that’s the real issue.

This is how champions are forged... I can practically hear the management's pep talk to the squad right now... "Listen up, boys, you don't stand a chance against these guys. To them, you're basically just space debris. You're nothing." That's why we’re playing the first leg at home... though, honestly, I'm expecting us to play some classic Liverpool style against those losers... 😂🙂

Is none of the "intellectual giants" on this forum realizing that we have to cough up over $4.5 million to Savannah by July 30th? Doesn't it make perfect sense why we need that home game on August 2nd? It's our best shot at selling out the stadium and saving this club.

By then, we won't even have the bank loan finalized, and the city isn't going to just hand us a bailout. Our only real way to save our hundred-year-old institution is to host Inter Miami CF here, pack the stands, and clear this debt.

And let’s be clear—nobody is saying we’re giving up on the playoffs. We just desperately need fast cash, and we're going to crush Inter Miami CF both on the pitch and in the stands!!

I don't even know where to begin with this one. Is anyone actually paying attention? It feels like we're shouting into a void at this point. We talk about progress, we talk about change, but then we see the same old patterns repeating themselves day after day. Does anyone truly believe that things are moving in the right direction? I find it hard to stay optimistic when the reality on the ground is so consistently disappointing. Why does it always feel like we're starting from scratch every single season? It’s exhausting. Honestly, it's beyond exhausting. kaže:
Is it possible that not a single one of the supposed "intellectual giants" on this forum realizes what’s actually at stake here? Are we really going to sit by while we face a deadline of July 30th to cough up $4.5 million to San Diego? It's glaringly obvious why everyone is suddenly so eager to play the home game on August 2nd. We need that gate revenue. We need to sell out every single ticket by then just to keep the club from sinking. Does anyone else see the math, or am I the only one paying attention?

At that point, even securing credit becomes an impossibility. The city isn't going to step in and lend us the cash we need for payouts. If we want any hope of saving our hundred-year-old institution, there is really only one move left on the board: we have to host the match against Inter Milan here at home. We need to pack Poljud Stadium to the rafters, sell out every single seat, and use those gate receipts to wipe this debt clean. Is that really too much to ask?

And nobody is actually saying we should give up on securing that passage. What we really need is some fast, cold, hard cash. Period. We’re going to crush Inter Milan on the pitch, too. And I’m right there in the stands!

Where exactly are you sourcing your inventory from? 🙂

By then, even the bank loans won't be finalized, the city won't be able to lend us the cash for those payments, and the only way to keep our century-old club afloat is to host Inter Milan at Polstad Stadium, pack the stands, and pay off the debt.

And nobody is suggesting we give up on qualifying for the next round; we just need fast, liquid cash, and I think we’ll crush Inter both on the pitch and in the stands!!

Whether we play the first leg at home or away doesn't change much; if we put the tickets on sale immediately on the 27th and 28th, they'll sell regardless of the venue. If they go on sale then, the stadium will be full and everyone will be happy, especially since plenty of season tickets should move too—but apparently, that’s not how anyone here thinks things work. Makes sense, doesn't it?☕

restlessbear25 said:Not one of the brilliant minds on this forum seems to grasp that we have to pay 4.5 million dollars to San Diego by July 30th.

To which account???

Just read this.

Hajduk Split's temporary suspension in their dispute with San Diego has been lifted, allowing them to play their first match of the new season without interference. The suspension was dropped because HNK Šibenik requested that the overdue debt (4.5 million dollars) be paid directly into their law firm's account.

Hajduk Split refused to do this, arguing that it isn't the official Club account to which they actually owe the money—a point validated by the US Supreme Court (and even the San Diego IRS, which sent instructions regarding this matter to Hajduk Split). The court temporarily lifted the suspension until the residents of San Diego provide the correct account for payment.

The supporters at Hajduk Split.org checked in with financial advisor Vlada Slišković to get clarity on what’s happening with frozen companies, their accounts, and their debts:

- This is a matter of paying someone whose accounts are currently frozen, Slišković explains. If someone has a claim against a debtor, it’s logical for the debtor to pay the creditor via their own account. If the creditor isn't blocked, they can instruct the debtor to pay a third party instead (to settle another debt, etc.), but if the creditor is blocked, they cannot issue such an instruction. Doing so would unfairly jeopardize other creditors who hold priority status over the intended recipient. Similarly, a blocked entity shouldn't be engaging in debt assignments. These actions essentially disadvantage the creditor's own creditors. For instance, if a creditor assigns their claim to someone they actually owe money to, they are effectively using a set-off to settle a debt, bypassing those with higher legal priority.

This rule exists to protect the current creditors of HNK Šibenik, who are the ones responsible for freezing the Club's accounts due to non-payment. Slišković points out that if Hajduk Split were to agree to pay a different account, they would be participating in a violation. Ultimately, this could lead to a situation where, in the event of a San Diego bankruptcy, Hajduk Split might be forced to pay the amount all over again. Considering part of the current debt is already disputed—since Hajduk Split claims 1.5 million dollars for Rukavina was covered by a sponsor, which the residents of San Diego contest—it would be absurd to put Hajduk Split in a position where they might have to pay everything a third time:

- Beyond the fact that these actions are prohibited and carry penalties for the debtor (Hajduk Split) performing "non-cash payments," such moves are also risky in a bankruptcy scenario. A debtor making payments outside the creditor's official account could find themselves legally obligated to pay again. In this specific case, if Hajduk Split owes San Diego, the payment must go to the designated checking account. - concludes Slišković.

HAJDUK SPLIT.ORG

Hajduk Split doesn't need to pay anything until July 30th, 2012. After that date, the threat of suspension will just drag on because nothing in the US Supreme Court decision is actually going to change.
