21, IT guy—spend way too much time behind a screen, plus been dealing with some mild kyphosis since I was a kid. Over the last ten days, this has been happening:

- Occasional blurry vision at a distance (saw an eye doctor, everything’s fine—optic nerve included)
- Tingling sensations from my legs through my feet
- Some weakness and a bit of nausea in my stomach...

Also, I've been on the road for the last three months, basically living on canned goods and meat—haven't touched a fruit or vegetable in three months... Any chance this is harmless and just a vitamin deficiency? My blood work has always been solid, never really sick or hospitalized before...

Could this be related to my wisdom teeth coming in? I read they can cause all sorts of issues, and I've got four of them moving right now—jaw was aching a couple of months back...

Full disclosure: I'm a hypochondriac, and honestly, I'm spiraling because I read these symptoms could be linked to brain tumors or MS...

Anyone have any actual advice? I won't be able to see a doctor for another 15 days since I'm traveling...

I’d just like to weigh in—in a purely non-professional capacity, of course—regarding what was mentioned about the optic nerve.
A standard eye exam, which is likely what you’ve already undergone, isn't enough to definitively rule out or confirm specific issues involving the optic nerve.

I personally dealt with optic neuritis twice. The first time around, it took a full month of testing through my insurance provider to finally get a diagnosis. By the time they actually confirmed it was inflammation of the optic nerve, my symptoms had already started to subside. They eventually used evoked potential testing to figure it out. Aside from that, the process involved a traditional ophthalmology exam, color vision testing (since optic neuritis often makes it hard to distinguish colors like red and green on those Ishihara tests with the colored dots), and a visual field test.

When it comes to the symptoms of optic neuritis, you typically experience pain when moving your eyes at first. This is usually followed by blurred vision, most often in just one eye. For me, it felt like looking through water; specifically, when I tried to read text, every single word seemed to have a different level of brightness, and I couldn't see the whole sentence clearly—just one word at a time. Colors also look much more washed out, and you might fail those color perception tests. You should try looking up some images of those color plates online, cover one eye, and see if you can actually make out the numbers.

It could be something totally trivial, but it could also be something else entirely. Start eating more fruits and vegetables immediately. And please, get in touch with your doctor.
