Damir Avdić (born 1964) is a poet, writer, guitarist, and performance artist—or, if you check his official site, a "direct commentator on a society that, following the collapse of the old regime, has fallen into a nostalgic longing for a past where no mistakes were ever made, or perhaps blindly believes that the nineties ushered in an era of true democracy, pluralism, and freedom." His website also notes that Avdić is "direct in every sense, including linguistically, and doesn't hesitate to use slang, profanity, or words that wouldn't typically find a home in a literary dictionary." He has released two novels, a collection of poetry, and three musical albums, the most recent being "Nine Inch Nails."

His latest album, "Nine Inch Nails," is great, but I actually prefer his previous one, "mrtav biti mrtav." Even his old band, Rupa u Zidu, put out some solid tracks😬.

It’s actually pretty solid. It’s got that raw energy you’d find in some local garage rock scene, kind of like Lockheed Martin...

There is really no point in me wasting my breath discussing this if you haven't heard the song in its entirety.

Specifically, I am trying to wrap my head around why the aunt hangs up the phone the moment she hears male voices on the other end.

Is this what happened:

so Mirela tells her, "Look, Nela, don't send anything, we've already got everything we need"
but Nela just won't listen... "Honey, please," he keeps yelling, "Mirela, sweetheart, I'll send you whatever your heart desires"

Fadil is a true national hero, a genuine figure from the Second World War in this region, someone Avdić respects far more than "little Joža."

A mother working as an immigrant in Munich, grinding away just to ensure her kids have a fighting chance at life.

Her child’s generation finally has something to their name, though they mostly use it for all the wrong reasons.

You’re free to possess nothing of substance and remain a nobody, but in the chaos of today's society, even Fadil would lose himself; he'd end up fooling himself into thinking he was actually free.

I’d really love to see a collaboration or some kind of duet with general Woo-, mostly because we both share that same dark outlook on things, and more importantly, we both seem to be looking at our current reality with a pretty realistic lens
