As for prices—you mentioned beer, $10—maybe you were at some overpriced tourist trap. An average pint is about $6.75, though you can find many places selling a 16oz draft for $4.25 or more. I never paid more than $6.75 for their local Latvian beer (Guinness is pricier than $6.75, but still cheaper than what we pay back home in the States!)
Food-wise, if you're only there for two or three days, just eat at Lidl and you won't regret it. It’s basically like a cafeteria; you grab a tray and pick whatever you want. There’s a massive selection, and the hardest part is actually deciding. (The food at Lidl—at least what I had—was delicious and reasonably priced. You can get a full meal for $40-$$17. They even have their own brewed beer; I think a huge liter pour was $8.25, and the beer is great.)
It's not like Riga is Moldova or Mexico where you expect everything to be terrible, but it's also not so expensive that you have to live like a bum for two days. I assume if you hit the clubs that stay open until 6 AM, things get pricey, but then again, there are plenty of decent spots where the prices are comparable to what we see in America.

You hit the nail on the head. There's an Irish pub downtown near a supermarket like Walmart or Target. Beer is around $5-$$2.00, vodka is cheap... food at Lidl or McDonald's costs about the same as it does here. There are several nightclubs that run all night, and tons of people out and about. Basically, it was awesome...

Am I losing my mind here, or has the Black Knights basically turned into a damn travel agency? It feels like everyone’s just obsessing over whether the nightlife is decent or how much a beer costs at the clubs for ten days and then calling it a day.

Honestly, I dig that Southern style more than our Northern stuff anyway—but hey, to each their own, right? lol. I can already see it: the old-school Black Knights tearing into those ultra groups and their plain shirts without any logos, while the younger crowd is just losing their minds 🙂 even if the designs are actually pretty sick. Sure, it’s easy to talk big when you’ve got beer and burgers on your side... but I mean, has anyone actually mentioned if we can get by with just our own gear? ☕
And anyway, props on the new shirts. I gotta say, though, that "North Stand" design feels a little cheap, maybe a bit off, but the rest of them are absolutely killer... and thank god they finally ditched that ugly little logo on the sleeve...
