Has anyone else here dealt with localized skin rashes or maybe some kind of watery blisters? I haven't had a chance to read through everything yet... but five days ago, my arm started swelling up. It's on my right arm, stretching from my wrist up to the middle of my forearm. My left arm looks completely fine. Five days ago, I was at an autopsy, and even though I was wearing rubber gloves, I was handling the body—basically touching almost all the organs with that right hand. Is it possible the gloves failed me? I'm honestly pretty worried because my left arm is totally clear, while the right one is acting up. I’ve been wearing surgical gloves during my rotations at the university hospital for two years now and have never had an issue. You can probably imagine how freaked out I am... should I head to the doctor? :S

Five days back, I was at an autopsy, wearing rubber gloves and handling a cadaver—basically touching almost all the organs with that right hand. Are those rubber gloves actually reliable? Based on what you're describing, that sounds a lot like dyshidrosis to me. I went through a pretty intense bout of it myself back when I was wearing surgical gloves every single day for patient care. Honestly, I think the powder inside them is usually the culprit.
