Malware outbreak on the forum

I have been away from my desk all day, and I honestly kept hoping that everything would be sorted out by now, but not a chance... I can't even access the forum at all. The only way I can get anything to happen is if I navigate to the site and then immediately hit the stop button on my browser.

This entire platform is falling apart... every single week there is some new technical disaster waiting around the corner, just like one of those cheap little surprises in a kid's candy egg.

It seems like nobody even cares about this anymore.

I nuked that email immediately after reading it, so I don't remember the exact address. It was definitely from some forum domain, and the source mentioned an Orbis server, maybe Orbis2.

Like, it wasn't Thomas Castillo14, just the specific ID number assigned to whatever account they were targeting.
Usually, this kind of garbage doesn't even make it past my server's spam filter, which is why I actually took a peek. But honestly, I deleted it so fast I can't recall the specifics.
The only reason I remember this at all is because it was the first and only time I ever got an email from this site. I have everything else turned off except for admin notifications.

It wasn't even my priority to go digging through it; I just took a quick peek and nuked it. The message basically told me to get online and start gambling, and it used a user ID number instead of a handle—not a username like Thomas Castillo14, but that specific numeric ID assigned to every account.

Look, it's 5:00 PM somewhere, and besides, the site admins have access to whatever email was used for registration, so I already checked that myself. 😉

That's the whole point—I couldn't. The email went to an old account from back in 2004. Some jerk posted my private info publicly in 2007, so that account is basically dead/retired, and I was given permission to start this new one. 😛

I’ve been using Chrome and I even went into the settings to check the box that stops sites from redirecting you elsewhere—but it still keeps shoving me straight to that stupid page. 😠

It feels like this forum is slowly losing its spark lately. I remember back in the day when this place was such a vibrant community, but now it seems like things are sliding downhill every single day because the management just can't seem to get their act together. 🤦

Also, I’ve been wondering, why haven't they upgraded us to the latest vBulletin 4 yet? 🤔

Is there seriously nothing we can do about this? Like, is the redirect thing only something the guys over at Reddit can handle? Or am I just tripping? Is the site getting hacked again or what?

Alright, it's finally fixed. About time...

I've been running into that same issue where things just switch over on me 😳... It doesn't seem to happen when I'm scrolling on my phone, but as soon as I sit down at my desktop, it happens instantly!
