I'm honestly pretty bummed, but I'm dropping this thread. It took a turn I didn't intend for it to take. My goal was actually to help everyone out—especially the moderators. I thought fostering a bit of healthy competition among them might push everyone to improve, which would ultimately benefit us users too.

Assassin is easily one of the best when it comes to Mobile technology. Whenever you ask a question, whether it’s public or via DM, he goes out of his way to give you a thorough answer. He doesn't just have deep expertise in mobile and digital tech; I think he genuinely fulfills his role perfectly. At least from my experience, I haven't seen him ban anyone without a legitimate reason. Even if you make a mistake, unlike some others, he won't attack you immediately. Instead, he tries to give you a friendly, unofficial heads-up. I also want to mention Veronica n from Religion, who is fantastic in every way. That topic is solid and serves a real purpose. I just hope it doesn't turn into something messy, because moderators are always a slippery slope, and it looks like some people are already starting to provoke the thread author 🤷.
Anyway, are we allowed to vote for the worst too? I definitely have a favorite candidate for that category.

I didn't officially vote (how could I, given that Assassin isn't even on the top tier selection list?). I simply suggested he be added. Honestly, the list is far too narrow; there's hardly any choice. Only five people out of roughly 140 moderators? That's ridiculous. It would be better to just have open discussions about which moderators are doing a good job and which aren't—provided we stay civil, stick to arguments, and avoid insults or trolling—rather than relying on these "best" and "worst" lists. Also, this topic probably belongs in the general discussion forum rather than here. I agree the OP should have asked a moderator for help if they intended to run a poll but didn't know how. Regardless, it's clear there was no bad intent behind this. Please stop with these silly provocations and mocking him. Everyone makes mistakes.

Honestly, this is my favorite part of Reddit!

Fawkes would probably demand some kind of masterclass certification just to become a moderator;
Barbara thinks moderators are basically just customer service reps for some big telecom company;
The mods would just vote for themselves if they could, but hey, we don't have a button, right?

Meanwhile, I’m sitting here studying the poll rules and begging the admin to give me a button (I try clicking him once a day, but why isn't it working??)
