How to adjust volume using keyboard shortcuts

Well, I didn't really look too hard either...

So, I'm using a Logitech wireless keyboard—the kind with that side button for volume control. You know, where a little volume bar pops up at the bottom of the screen to show you the level.

I was messing around with some settings earlier and now that little scale is gone. The volume still adjusts when I hit the button, but the visual indicator just won't show up. It sounds trivial, I know—but honestly, I feel lost without that visual feedback.

Can someone help me figure out how to get it back?
