Wireless mouse: Turn it off or leave it on?

So, is there actually any reason to switch off a wireless mouse when you're done for the day 😉—say, overnight—or is that just unnecessary?

Do you prefer for your battery life to be longer or shorter?

That is unnecessary.

It won’t break anything if you leave it running, but honestly, I’d shut it down just to save the battery life in the long run. ☕

I don't bother turning mine off; I've actually had it since last summer. I haven't even replaced the battery once. To be fair, I don't use it much anymore, but they claim it lasts about eight months.
