It feels noticeably snappier to me. The design is cleaner and more polished, even if they didn't go for anything too radical visually. They also added the tune up Economy moda

I wonder how many different apps this program actually includes—honestly, sometimes it feels like it slows your PC down more than it actually speeds things up.
Personally, I’ve been sticking with the 2011 version and it's been doing just fine for me... though I'm really hoping they actually fixed some things in this new release.

So I'm looking at installing this on Windows 7 x64, but what’s the actual payoff here?? Is it just faster boot times?? Does it actually bump up my FPS in games?? Or does it just kill off all those useless background processes clogging up the system??

Booting might speed up your SSD, but if you want more FPS, you need a better graphics card.

Don't go mixing up hardware issues with software tweaks. Sure, messing with the software level might give you a slight performance bump by optimizing the system, but no amount of software magic is going to make up for lacking the right hardware.👍

Look, man, it won't really affect your boot speed or your FPS—using a tune up isn't really about that. 🙂 It’s basically just a tool to clear out junk files and keep your PC running in top shape.

Honestly, I feel like this program is just total junk that ends up causing more headaches than it actually solves...☕

It really bummed me out when they dropped the 2011 version and I tried installing it ☕

I'm still rocking the 2009 version myself.
I guess those updates just end up slowing my PC down anyway.

Look, if you're actually interested in scoring a better deal when you go to pick up TuneUp 2012, you might want to consider checking out TJ Maxx instead...

Oh, sure, "he said it and lived"... as if that proves anything at all! But fine, I’ve actually used the thing myself—picked it up from TJ Maxx—and I have to admit, I’m more than happy with the results... the 2011 version was definitely lacking in certain areas, but they really cleaned up a lot of the bugs in TuneUp 2012, and they even threw in that extended battery life feature for laptops... I haven't had the chance to stress-test that specific setting yet, but once I head out on my next road trip, I'll give it a proper whirl and let you all know how it holds up...

TJ Maxx is actually quite reasonable considering the manufacturer wants fifty bucks for it, so it's nice to see that things are finally a bit more affordable here in the States... 🙂

Look, this software isn't bad—I actually used it a few years back, though I haven't checked out the latest version lately—but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone running a decent machine. Honestly, why bother messing around with optimization if your system is already performing well? You're just inviting unnecessary risk, and there's always that chance you'll end up breaking something. I’ve only ever used it in extreme scenarios, which is exactly what I did back then. And I'll admit, in those specific cases, it actually came in handy enough.
