Hi everyone,
I’d like to apologize to the moderators if this topic has already been covered; I just couldn't seem to track it down earlier.
Here is the situation: a few days ago, I had a bit of a clumsy mishap and landed hard on my left heel. I fell from about five feet up—basically a bad landing where I caught my heel directly against the ground. For the first couple of days, there was some noticeable swelling, but after six days, that has mostly subsided, though I still have some bruising on both the left and right sides of my foot. It really only hurts when I try to put weight on it, and while that pain seems to be decreasing slightly every day, I am still forced to walk on my toes to get around. To be honest, I’ve been hesitant to head to an Urgent Care because I’m terrified they’ll put me in a cast or a walking boot, and with my current schedule requiring me to be out and about constantly, I just can't afford the downtime or the expense right now.
Based on what I’ve described, do you think I might have actually fractured something or caused a crack in the bone, or is this just a heavy bruise that needs time to heal? I've been applying some deep relief gel three times a day to help with it.
I really appreciate any answers or advice you all can offer.
