The reason I’m flagging this is quite simple: it’s pure spam. It offers absolutely nothing to the discussion, clutters up the subforum, and—if I’m being honest—it’s just an eyesore. This isn't Facebook; if you feel the need to post something, at least include some actual substance. If you’re truly concerned about providing support, just send her a private message. That’s really all there is to it.

Look, if you don't drink at least two whole packs, I’m going to have to start a thread about laziness and breaking the rules—and then I'll be asking the mods to actually step in and hand out some consequences. ☕

Give me a break.

Where do you get the nerve to talk to me like that?

Your math is off, the post was butchered, and it actually violates the subforum rules—which you should probably go read. Your appeal doesn't hold water.

The post wasn't butchered. Why don't you show it to everyone else? Look, I've read the rules, but surely you're smart enough to know when common decency matters more than just following the handbook for the sake of it. There are times when blindly applying rules is just plain rude, which is exactly what you did here. A forum is supposed to be a community, isn't it? Or am I missing something? Please, enlighten me.

The rules don't force you to delete a 10-point post. So why wasn't the post with the facepalm deleted?

Look, you can't have it both ways. You can't demand that people get punished and then turn around and whine about how the mods aren't doing their jobs. Pick a side.

I scan through all my PDF threads pretty regularly, but I’ll admit, things still slip past me sometimes. The people actually active in a thread usually have a much better pulse on when someone is just being a troll or trying to start drama. That's why I really appreciate it when someone takes the time to report a post. It actually helps. 🙂

Chloe Green61 said:It’s just spam. It adds nothing to the thread or the subforum, and frankly, it looks messy. Add some actual context next time; this isn't Facebook. If you really need hand-holding, just send a PM to one of the mods. That's all there is to it.

Labeling my post "useless" isn't actually enforcing forum rules—it's just your own projection, whether that's being smart or not. There are plenty of eyesores on here; why not just delete everything and leave us with nothing but the moderator chat? You wouldn't want to go around banning everyone else, would you? Otherwise, you might as well just shut down the whole forum and sit alone with your rules and those occasionally cryptic interpretations of them.

Personally, I tend to scan through all the threads listed in my PDF pretty regularly, but honestly—even I miss stuff sometimes. The people actually active in a thread usually have a much better pulse on when someone is being a provocateur or just being a jerk, so I actually really value it when someone takes the time to report a post. 🙂

You can go ahead and assume I’m going to start some massive thread just to whine about it if that's what you think. ☕

Everything here was clearly within context. Seriously, just read that last post from the OP where he's dragging the mod again—it's wild how he completely misses the fact that the guy could have shut him down effortlessly...

God, what am I even doing here? Just give me strength. 😉

Check out this latest post from the thread starter. They're dragging the mod again, but look at how gracefully this user just shut them down.

I don't get the panic. What, are you Jason Morgan? I’m just voicing legitimate complaints on a thread officially created by the site administration ( 😁 🤣 ). I really don't see why everyone is getting worked up over something as trivial as a well-written complaint from a user who feels they were denied one of their rights: the right to defend themselves against arbitrary moderation and human impulse. Sometimes those impulses lead to misunderstandings or stifle actual conversation when a user feels a public post is more appropriate than a private message.

My apologies if the moderator struggled to maintain her composure. She'll probably get that highly anticipated chance to act because of my "unseemly" emoticons—specifically, a tiny smiley showing the middle finger that lacked any accompanying text, which apparently constitutes spam. I'd just like to know, if I do end up getting a warning, whether it's for offending the moderator's eyes with what she saw, or for spamming. Thanks in advance, and have a good one.

Ashley Price82 said:So, I just got hit with 10 points from Jason Morgan. And then? My post gets nuked. Total nonsense. It’s honestly not okay to delete a post like that for just one little reason—especially when it was meant for someone!

The points and the deletions? Totally justified. Honestly, I'm all for it.
And if someone gets sent off at 3 PM? Gone. Deleted. Just like that. It happens to everyone. Same exact thing.

Ashley Price82 said:The rules aren't supposed to force you to delete a 10-point post. So why hasn't that facepalm post been taken down yet?

You haven't seen the moderation guidelines yet. That post is straight-up spam, and we clear out all spam.
The post with the facepalm is gone too. Deleted.

Ashley Price82 said:So you think my post is useless? Honestly, that’s just you projecting. It’s not even about the forum rules at this point—it's just your own take on things, whether it's smart or not!

Spam is useless. Plain and simple. It’s just following the rules, not being biased.

That's it! This thread is officially closed from the mod side. Hey, any admins around?

Look at your custom user title. Now back to post. Now back to CUT. Now back to post.

Just chill out already. You got a warning for spamming. The post got nuked because it was just wasting bandwidth, and that's really all there is to it.
