Where are the posts???

I swear I had over 300 posts the other day, but now it says 288?? I don't get it... maybe things are being deleted or something, who knows...
It’s not like it actually matters to me, but I am curious... 😁

Yeah, it’s true—certain posts and specific threads do get wiped from the board. 🙂

It feels like my posts are constantly getting wiped out (not the actual threads I start, just 🙂), and it’s pretty frustrating. Every time I hit about 300 or 400 posts, suddenly 250 to 300 of them just vanish.

I think I was up at 800 just a little while ago.

Honestly, it’s kind of pointless. They’re deleting stuff ☕

I’ve been trying to wrap my head around where exactly this is happening since I don't really hang out in those random chatty threads, but I’m totally lost 🤷 What kind of system are you guys even running here?

I don't get it either... what about those people with 15,000 posts? Do they just sleep on this forum?? If things are getting wiped out every single hour, I guess you practically have to be online 24/7 just to keep up....
I'll say it again, it's not like I'm losing sleep over it... but it's just stupid...

Let’s consider the possibility that certain Star Chat threads are being cleared out simply because they’ve been dead for ages. It seems like some older content might just be getting in the way of the server running smoothly, which would explain why certain topics and posts are being removed automatically.
Of course, there is also the chance that a small group of people has taken issue with someone from the Colored faction, leading to selective deletions—though I suppose that wouldn't be particularly easy to pull off...

The forums are undergoing some regular maintenance lately, yes. If you noticed a sudden drop in your post count over the last few days, don't panic—it's just because we've been scrubbing out old, redundant threads from the legacy archives dating back four, five, or even six years ago.

Good grief, we are talking about forum posts here. You’ll just whip up new ones just like you always have. In my own long career on this board, I’ve lost at least 1,500—maybe even more than a thousand—posts. Why is it that the users who come crying about their post counts always seem to have only 300 to 1,000 posts? If your post count were actually that vital to your identity, you would be spamming every corner of this site much more aggressively! 🧐

Honestly? There's a good chance this isn't even the first time your posts have vanished. You probably just didn't grab a screenshot before they disappeared!

I honestly don't get it. First, you guys take a few thousand from me, and now you're snatching up this little bit I managed to scrape together. Then, everything just vanishes and leaves me sitting at zero, instead of showing my actual count—which should be 7—while somehow every other post shows 300. Your theory about certain threads and posts being deleted clearly doesn't hold water. Why am I seeing 7 here, but 300 over there? 😠😳

Just wanted to check in on something... You guys can delete my posts if you need to, I really don't care about the count or anything like that, but I'm a little confused about how this actually works?? You mention that old threads get cleared out and all that, but honestly, someone just deleted my comment from an active discussion... All the posts before and after it are still right there... And no, I wasn't swearing, trolling, or being rude or anything like that... It was just a simple question I'd been waiting on an answer to, and now it's just gone 😠
