Hey everyone.
Because my doctor suspects an insulinoma, they’ve ordered an MRI of my pancreas due to these frequent bouts of hypoglycemia.
Has anyone here dealt with this? Maybe a family member or a friend...
The info online is pretty thin, so if there are any pros out there who can give me a more detailed breakdown of what this tumor actually entails...

Everything online about it is super thin, so if there's a pro here who can break down what this tumor actually is, please help me out...

From what I can tell, it's a pancreatic tumor.
Just try Googling: pancreatic cancer.

If I had any actual experience with this, I’d jump in to help you out.
Later 😉

This is a solid read.
The bottom line is that you have to surgically get it out. Once it’s gone, doctors run a pathology analysis on the tissue to determine if they were dealing with something benign or malignant. In about 90% of cases, it turns out to be benign.

Thanks for all the links, everyone.
I just had an MRI on a 3T machine, and it showed a perfectly normal pancreas with zero suspicious findings.

The doctor thinks I’m likely just dealing with impaired glucose tolerance.
He's suggesting diet, more exercise, and stuff like that.

I can't help feeling a bit paranoid, though—what if he misread the scan? Is it really that hard to spot a tumor like that?

Later.

I just had an MRI on a 3T machine, and everything looked totally fine—pancreas looks clean, no suspicious spots or anything weird showing up at all.

The doctor thinks it’s most likely just impaired glucose tolerance.
So, diet, hitting the gym, that kind of thing.

But honestly? I'm still low-key freaking out. What if they missed something in the scan? Is it really that "hard" to pin down a tumor like that???

Later!

Man, I'm so glad it's not a tumor. Just follow what the doctor tells you and you'll be fine. 🙂
