HP ENVY won't recognize black ink

All my colors are looking completely washed out. The folks at Best Buy swore they were compatible, but after one successful black text print, it just gave up on me. I already tried reinstalling the drivers, but nothing. What should I try before I lose my mind and take an axe to this thing? 😠

Grabbed my printer and headed out to the store.
Either they swap out that cartridge for a new one or they give you your money back. Period.

Make sure you test out that new cartridge before you get in front of them.

I guess that's just how things work around here.

If you end up getting kicked in the teeth, I just hope you walked away with a little more wisdom than you started with.

What can I tackle on my own without calling in a repairman?

You could probably take an axe to it and still come up short.

I ran into the exact same headache when I was messing around with a third-party cartridge. Turns out, once I pulled the thing out and popped it back in, everything started working fine again...
