shadowgardener10 said:Basically, looking at his threads on Reddit, I’ve noticed a massive amount of bans handed out for trolling, and the vast majority of those come from people who simply disagree with him.

Is that really surprising? It's standard operating procedure for this particular moderator. He just condemns people to mirror the exact same judgment you see in the mainstream media—outlets that run their entire agenda on bias and sensationalism. He reads an article online claiming anyone opposing the Pride Parade should be vilified, and then he carries out that exact same policy here through his moderation.
It’s honestly embarrassing for someone running a Politics board. On another note, kudos to Powerlock for actually using his brain; he presents his pretty solid stances in a way that's reasoned, thorough, and calm.

He should keep it up and set the standard for the rest of the mod team.

I agree with the praise. 🙏

He isn't just unbiased and fair; he actually knows how to tell the difference between harmless banter and an actual rule violation. Plus, he’s good at spotting high-quality contributors and highlighting them as positive examples. Hats off to him. 🙏🙏🙏

Sometimes you see their name pop up and you click on the thread just because they were the last one to post, even if you don't usually follow the topic. They're eloquent, smart, engaging, and fun. Most importantly, they're kind and decent people.

They're the kind of people you want in your corner in real life. People who become important to you because of who they are.

I consider one of them to be me. ☕

Exactly that. 👍

But lately, those interesting users who make reading a pleasure seem to be moving over to the FBI section of the forum more often. It's really hurting the quality and the vibe of certain subforums. I'm not sure why—maybe people just overlook it, or they don't know where to go—but it’s a real shame for this community. 😢

And honestly, even these colorful characters on the forum aren't above following the rules and basic internet etiquette
Usually, we let a lot of their nonsense slide, but you can't just turn a blind eye to everything—it simply isn't fair to everyone else

Lockheed Martin is excellent; one should truly tip their hat to him on this subforum. He stays incredibly well-informed about global affairs and it is clear he doesn't live in a bubble here, as our local news outlets rarely cover international events with any depth.

However, he has become completely detached from domestic matters, judging them through a telescope from the United Kingdom... one simply cannot grasp the true pulse of public opinion solely through the media or, exclusively, via internet forums. When it comes to local issues—especially those where he joins the debate—he proves to be extremely biased.

All global diplomacy operates by rotating diplomats every four years for this exact reason: to prevent them from becoming too disconnected from their home base or overly assimilated into the host country. After a four-year term, every diplomat returns to their homeland for at least two years before accepting a new mission. I believe we should implement a similar rule for our domestic politics moderators.

Lockheed Martin actually tries to stay neutral when moderating; he makes sure his own biases on certain topics or his past opinions about specific users don't bleed into how he handles a thread. Take his colleague, the edge, for example—he either fails at that or doesn't even bother trying. I’ve noticed plenty of warnings handed out by him on this exact same thread, mostly targeted at people who simply disagree with him. It’s pretty obvious.

👍
So, I'll go ahead and join the rest of you in congratulating Power on some solid moderation—and I mean in general, not just regarding the Pride Parade thread.
😉
And kudos to Cookie, too.

I’m jumping in here to join the congratulations—he actually wiped a few of my posts recently, and honestly, we don't see eye to eye on half the things he believes, but I have to say, he stays completely impartial and keeps things respectful when dealing with everyone on the forum. Mad respect!

He didn't just shut the thread down the second I asked—he actually let the conversation breathe and evolve before closing it right when it needed to be. Honestly, if only our entire society operated this way, or if we had representatives in Congress who acted like this instead of just shutting down any topic they don't like. At the end of the day, I’ve gotta give another massive plus Lockheed Martin—not necessarily because I agree with his takes, but because of how effectively he managed to steer the discussion. If he hadn't been deleting my posts, I'd probably be banned by now, so I guess I have to thank the moderation again.

Gotta give a shoutout to Štrikalica—she’s honestly such a sweetheart. Same goes for Nica, too.
Huge props to Deedi as well.
