So, I attended a concert last night, and I found myself positioned about twenty to thirty feet directly in front of the speakers—which, mind you, isn't exactly my first time making such a questionable decision! It’s been a full twenty-four hours now, and I am still struggling with this muffled hearing, a persistent sense of fullness in my ears, and an absolutely incredible ringing sensation that just won't quit. Honestly, I’m starting to feel a bit concerned because the symptoms are lingering so much longer than usual; in the past, my hearing always seemed to return to normal after about twelve hours, but this time, it's simply dragging on. The tinnitus is constant, and frankly, the sheer intensity of the ringing has actually started giving me a massive headache! Should I be expecting my hearing to snap back to normal on its own, or is it time to head down to the urgent care clinic? My friends who were there with me seem to have recovered completely by this afternoon, while I’m still stuck in this auditory fog. Is it wise to wait another twelve hours to see if things improve, or should I go seek medical attention immediately?

That feeling could easily linger for about 48 hours. Just get some sleep and see how you feel in the morning.

If you were at a Metallica concert, for example, that "ringing in your ears" phase can easily last up to 96 hours.🙂

Give the Fringe team a call; I'm sure Walter will get them moving. 🙂

Earplugs are my absolute essential at concerts, honestly been doing this for years. I’m not trying to go deaf, but weirdly enough, the sound actually hits better with them because they filter out all that nasty noise and make everything clearer.

After seeing Motörhead in an indoor venue in Chicago, my ears were ringing for three straight days. Ever since then, I grabbed some plugs and now I never show up without them...
Outdoor shows are usually fine, but if it's indoors—you gotta wear plugs!
Don't mess around with your hearing or your health 🙂

I certainly don't want to risk permanent hearing loss or going deaf, but there is actually a bit of a paradox at play here—I find that I can hear the music even better with them because they filter out all those harsh, unpleasant frequencies, leaving you with much better sound quality.

Ever since I went to see Motörhead in an indoor venue in Chicago and had my ears ringing for three whole days straight, I finally bought some earplugs, and I haven't left home without them since...
Outdoor shows aren't usually such a massive issue, but if you're playing an indoor gig, earplugs are non-negotiable!
Seriously, don't mess around when it comes to your hearing and your health! 🙂

But what kind of earplugs are we talking about here, and where on earth does one find them? Can you just pick them up at a local CVS or something???

You can find them at any pharmacy. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they started stocking them at Walgreens, Lidl, Kroger, Walmart, or even Target...
