To be honest—I haven't heard a peep about them for at least a month or two.
I've been trying to find a way to download their tracks, but I'm coming up empty—so if anyone happens to have a working link...

It’s actually kind of a shock seeing a group name like that, especially since everyone knows exactly which Margaret they’re probably aiming for...

If they’re actually talking about Maggie, then the name isn't even shocking—it's just plain stupid... and honestly, what they’re playing can't be called music by any stretch of the imagination. No, really. But hey, the OP is giving them a thumbs up. I guess if someone puts it together, there'll always be an audience somewhere.

You should really grab that "Electric Post" compilation... there are some other similar American indie bands on there too, and it even includes a track by Margaret is Dead.

Besides, the band's name isn't some "Thank God Margaret is dead, we're thrilled about it" statement—do yourself a favor and Google the reasoning behind their name before you start venting aimlessly again.
Sure, the name is shocking; it’s just as shocking as much of what Lady Gaga does, and it was certainly shocking how much Maggie used to do (let's be honest here), so I don't care—she was dear to me, and so was The Cure.
Why are you getting so worked up for no reason? If you don't like them, don't listen to them. And by all means, go make a confession about that extra click 🙄

I've listened to some other stuff now, and it isn't quite as good as this... This one feels like a true Kraftwerk-style masterpiece to me.🙂

Honestly, I love EKV, so I actually went and listened to this on YouTube. I'm feeling pretty rough right now, so it all ends up being the same thing anyway.

I don't even need to Google this—I clearly wrote "if." So, if we're talking about Margaret from EKV, it doesn't matter whether people adore her, love her, hate her, or can't stand her. The bottom line is they're just using her name to grab attention because they can't pull it off with their own music. That’s the only part that's actually pathetic. Sure, maybe it rubs some people the wrong way, but this 'Margaret' persona covers some seriously edgy ground—stuff like 'Transsexual', 'Dumb Girls', 'Guys Love Inversion Today', 'I am Yours, You are Mine', 'In the Neon Shadow', and 'Blitzmädel'... It’s a wild, jumpy mix that definitely isn't for the purists or the conservative types. It’s like this: the band members actually love EKV.
The whole name was essentially a response to some graffiti in Belgrade that claimed "Margita is a bitch," which prompted fans to fire back with that rest in peace to the departed sentiment—and then there was that massive second piece of graffiti stating "Margita is dead."
So, really, it was all about the counter-reaction—not an attempt to insult Magi at all.

These guys clearly adopted the name later on, but certainly not to be disrespectful.
If they had actually intended to be offensive, I’m sure they would have come up with something far more cutting than just stating the obvious. 🙄
