My HP OfficeJet finally gave up the ghost. It actually served me pretty well for a few years, but after constant use, it just bit the dust. So now
I’m looking to pick up a cheaper inkjet at Staples or wherever the hell has the best deals—ideally under $200$100. Anyone know of a reliable model out there that actually prints decent results and has ink you can find easily at a local CVS or Walmart? Thanks.

Maybe check out some places selling refurbished printers.

You could probably snag a perfectly fine HP OfficeJet for $200 or maybe an iP3300 for about $100.

Just stay away from the brand-new ones right now. Most of them don't have any cheap third-party ink available, unless you go with an Epson.

Man, I’m in the exact same boat... I really need to find a budget-friendly inkjet, but one where the replacement colors don't end up costing a fortune too.

I've been eyeing that Dell Latitude, maybe around $83, but I haven't been able to track down how much the actual ink cartridges are gonna run me...

The only way to hit those specs is to go used. Most of the new stuff hitting shelves is basically just fancy packaging for anniversary gifts for people who live to unbox things.

If you don't believe me, throw out a model name and we'll run a comparison against its predecessor to show you how much they've stripped away.
