Honestly, I enjoyed that more than the actual win.

Goluža is just a total nobody and a complete zero. 👎

Maybe Goluža should have tried picking up some points from Balić, but man, talk about a reality check.🤣
I know, I know, I'm being bitter, but that was easily the best moment of the day for me.😁

...Bravo to those little square caterpillars!!... It seems our Slavic brothers are falling even further behind us, and don't even get me started on the Slovaks (the referees)... they're at the very bottom of the barrel...
...BALIĆ🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
..Goluža is a total hack👎👎😠

Honestly, Kopljar has never been anything more than just a guy showing up physically. He’s static, lacks any real coordination... he just isn't built for this game. And all that talk about him tearing it up at practice? It's honestly getting pathetic to listen to.

neonfalcon16 said:I mean, seriously—I did NOT see that performance from Poland coming. They played like absolute garbage. It’s pretty obvious they’re in even deeper trouble than we are right now. 🤷

Look, that’s exactly why Goluža is being put on a pedestal right now—he’s only "world-class" if everyone else plays like absolute garbage, just like they did against Poland. If you want gold, you don't just need one guy playing okay; you need the rest of the field to completely fall apart. Is he good? Sure. But let's be real—is he actually elite if the competition is this mediocre? I doubt it.
And those ridiculous comments he made at the end of the game? Honestly, just forget about them—at the end of the day, a win is a win. But let's be real: what kind of coach even says stuff like that? He thinks everyone’s just going to move on, but newsflash—even if the fans decide to overlook how much he sucked, he shouldn't. Just because people stop complaining doesn't mean he suddenly knows what he's doing. Maybe if he actually spent less time talking trash and more time focusing, he might actually learn something about the job.

swiftwalker43 said:Maybe try explaining that to the refs instead of us—since they clearly haven't a clue. Just call them over at halftime.
You can lecture me on the rulebook all you want, but what we're actually seeing on the court is something else entirely.

Look, you're watching, but it's obvious you just don't get it...

Domagoj Duvnjak got sent off because he basically acted like a sixth man—he stepped onto the floor when there's only supposed to be five allowed...

Dakl, the refs did exactly what they were supposed to do (penalized the extra player), so I really don't see the point in arguing with them...

It’s like watching two shepherds who look and act exactly the same. Honestly, my American handball players...

I was just sitting here, staring at this video, and I can't help but feel like there’s a whole conversation happening underneath the surface that we aren't quite touching on yet. It’s one of those things where you watch it once and think you get the gist, but then you sit with it for a bit—maybe while you're waiting for your coffee or just staring out the window—and you realize how much nuance is actually buried in there. I guess what I mean is, it isn't just about the immediate takeaway, but rather the way it makes you question the context of everything else we've been discussing lately. Maybe I'm overthinking it, or maybe I'm just looking too closely, but there seems to be this subtle tension between what's being shown and what's being implied, which is always the most interesting part, isn't it? I don't know, it just feels like there's more to uncover if you're willing to look past the obvious stuff.

Way to go, Ivano!🙏

I can't quite remember when the next Olympics are... if they're happening in 2014, then I don't see us standing a chance at a medal. Ivana won't be around anymore, and honestly, without Ivano Balić, this squad feels like it's lost maybe 50 percent of its strength. If they're in 2012, though, we might have a shot—but only if Kopljar gets traded from Indianapolis by then. If he does get moved, I guess Gobac probably won't even call him up for the main roster.

And besides that, I really don't get why everyone treats the Olympics like it's the absolute peak for our athletes, when in reality, it seems like the weakest of the three big ones, you know? Like, compared to the Euro or the World Cup, it just doesn't feel that intense.

Honestly, I preferred that over even winning.

Goluža is just a complete amateur and a total nobody. 👎

The same goes for me. 🤣

Ivano Balić 🙏 deserves nothing but respect for everything he's done. 🙏

Honestly, I think we’re basically 99% locked in for London with this win. The only way we screw ourselves over is if we blow the 5th place game and the European champion ends up being some random team outside the top 5 from this World Cup—which is a total long shot. If that freak scenario happens, we land in that one qualifying group with three European teams.

The way I see it, we’d drop into the easiest group possible, likely facing our upcoming opponent from the 5th place match, the future runners-up from Asia (maybe Japan?), and whatever squad takes third from Pan-America (maybe Chile?). Two teams move on. And hey, if we actually pull off the win for 5th place, we get to host the whole tournament.

The Argentinians actually did us a solid favor here, since their performance gave Pan-America an extra slot they wouldn't have had otherwise—it should've gone to the African teams.

I mean, what’s the actual logic behind Kopljar playing just to boost his market value when he’s clearly struggling?
Like, who is actually going to buy him when they can see how he's performing every single time he steps on the court? 😁

It's hard to see how anyone would want to recruit him when they can clearly see his current form. 😁

His Defense is truly unparalleled.

Frank Turner72 said:Kopljar was never meant to be a top-tier player anyway, and it’s not even just about his mental game. He’s stiff, he's uncoordinated... honestly, he shouldn't even be on a handball court. All this talk about him "tearing it up" at practice is just pathetic to listen to.

Yeah, sure, if you think being totally uncoordinated and frozen with fear has nothing to do with his head space, then whatever...😂
Look, man, think whatever you want. I care way more about what actually happened on the court and what I saw with my own eyes than some random opinions... besides, most of you guys have zero skin in the game when you claim Kopljar will never be a star... you're all just armchair experts acting like generals after the war is already over...

And what do I gain by saying this about him anyway?!... It doesn't put money in my pocket or anything...

Well, who's actually going to buy him when they see him playing like this so many times? 😁

And don't forget, Josip Valcic was slightly better than that and he still got signed. I guess some fool out there will eventually come along and pick him up.
